“First time Taipei ”

The building was hard to identify, but the hotel rooms are spacious and have a nice shower. Very good breakfast with watermelon and teas. The staff are very friendly and they even helped bring our luggage down. Only 10 minutes to Taipei 101. Would come back and stay when I visit.

Pacific Business Hotel, Taipai. This is a conveniently positioned Hotel close, by foot, to Tower 101 and also the MRT. My wife and I stayed here for six nights from March 2026. We stayed on the 13th floor and our room was both quiet and of a good size. We found the bed a little low, though and the mattress was, I think a sprung mattress. We slept well throughout our stay. Good water pressure and stable water temperatures in the bathroom. Housekeeping very good and our room was serviced each day to a good standard. Air conditioning worked well and was not noisy. As pointed out elsewhere on this forum – ‘The entrance is a bit hard to find - look out for the blue awning that says "495 Guangfu South" (S T wrote a review Sept 2025) which is helpful to know. There is a Seven/Eleven across the road opposite this entrance for a further point of reference. Reception is on the eleventh floor. All staff are welcoming and, we found, most attentive. The hotel itself is now a little dated BUT it is still an efficient and effective place for travellers to stay whether for business or leisure. Breakfast was plentiful, maybe not so western focused but – hey – try the local fare served here; we had no complaints. Good gym, quite large, not bad level of equipment, and just alongside the gym are two washing machines plus two dryers also- all of which are free for guests - and all of which did their jobs in a satisfactory manner. Check in was 3pm. Now this was a bit of a disappointment; we’d arrive early – a few hours before 3pm – and had to occupy ourselves elsewhere; baggage was safely stowed in the hotel in the meantime; there is however a reasonable lounge along from reception for such guests to make use of until check in is available at 3pm We took advantage of the hotel’s collection service from the airport which we find always a good thing to do on numerous levels to achieve generally hassle free transfers. In this case we were collected by a very nice new top range Mercedes car with a most professional driver: excellent! All in all, I do recommend Pacific Business Hotel it delivered all we needed and at a level which suited us – no real issues at all with this hotel but of coursec do a bit more research yourselves but, in the meantime, I say: book it; we’d do so again if and when in Taipei next. “Good stay in Xinyi district”

I stayed at this hotel in Taipei for four nights, including New Year’s Eve, and chose it mainly for its proximity to the fireworks—which turned out to be a great decision. It’s about a 10-minute walk from Taipei 101 and close to plenty of restaurants as well as public transportation. The hotel is a bit older than it looks in online photos, but it’s still comfortable. My room on the 15th floor was somewhat small, but clean and well equipped with everything I needed. Both the air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked well. Breakfast was plentiful, although it’s more geared toward Asian tastes than Western ones. Overall, a solid and convenient choice for staying in Taipei.

Gym very basic - two treadmills, a bicycle and one set of dumbbells up to 10kg. Breakfast was so so.
