The hotel is located a few minutes away from the train station (Nanjing Fuxing). It could be exit 2, opposite the hotel. Westin Taipei is clean and has a group of excellent staff, esp those at the reception. The check-in/check-out was prompt and efficient. We used & redeemed our SPG points for our stay. Facilities are new, esp the equipment in the gym (2 levels). We dined at Gi-On with some friends for a night and had our breakfast at Silk Road as well as the Executive Lounge. I’m not sure if this is the system...before we even finished our dessert the waitress actually came over to ask us to pay...that was a bit abrupt I thought. The service provided by the staff at the Lounge was fantastic! Loved the omelette the chef made, she even served it to our table! Food quality was above average. Got to mention that the food served to our room was high quality pasta, smoothie and the finger foods was so good that my son kept asking for it! Goodness. Elite Bakery is just outside the hotel. They baked fresh breads & pastries. We loved the cakes. Service was good. We even bought their freshly made breads home, also a few boxes of nicely wrapped biscuits & pineapple tarts. They were really good. There was a welcome fruit basket in the room. There were plenty of sockets & plugs. I specifically like the multiple wooden hooks in the wardrobe. Oh, a coffee brewer! There was only one hiccup during our 4 nights stay. The housekeeping didn’t make our room even when we asked for it. No toiletries were refilled so we had to get from the available vanity trolley ourselves at the corridor. The room was a little dusty esp at the window edge, side tables & TV console. Overall it was okay. Love the fact that they provided bolsters! We had good sleep. Thank you. Easily accessible to Breeze shopping mall by foot. The mall is self-sufficient and high-end goods could be found here. There are good restaurants too. Loved the bookstore, Uniqlo, Muji & its departmemt store. There is a Fila sports store near Breeze, they provided excellent customer service and quality products. Nearby this area there is a restaurant named Volks. They served good steak sets and it had a wide variety. It is child friendly. Staff were polite and customer service orientated. There is a McDonald opponent, no worries about settling your hunger calls around this area. Lots of eateries down the road,you can find good bento sets there. Overall, we really did have a good & enjoyable stay at the Westin Taipei. We knew Westin would seize operation by year end, probably rename or what...but would still give it a try next time. It does maintain that high quality standard throughout. Thank you Westin Taipei for making our stay so memorable.

“Best stay like usual”

It’s my favourite hotel in Taipei and I will definitely stay at this hotel when I travel to Taipei. The strategy location and the transportation hotel offer help me save my time! The quality of service is very high and staffs are professionals and friendly!!

Rooms are spacious and clean. Staff are helpful, but we sometimes struggle talking to them. Strategically located and convenient to walk around certain areas for exploration. Reasonably priced. The breakfast buffet was good enough but can get tiring after staying there for a few days (I think we stayed for almost a week). The staff in the buffet restaurant were not all friendly though, especially the one assigned on the milk and yoghurt counter.

“Hotel needs some updating”

Decent hotel in Taipei City. + Hotel is grand, with a large and welcoming lobby entrance. + Rooms are a bit dated, could do with some updating. + Easy to get around Taipei City with either the taxi or the train station near by. + Lovely Westin lounge - definitely a bonus.
