Our three night stay at Melia Zanzibar was the perfect way to end our honeymoon. From the moment we arrived, the team made us feel incredibly special with thoughtful surprises, including an upgrade to a stunning ocean-view villa and a romantic dinner with rose petals decorating our table. Those personal touches meant so much to us. Melia was a lovely place for us to decompress and unwind after nearly a week of bouncing around the Serengeti. The ocean views were absolutely breathtaking, and the resort itself is gorgeous and well maintained. What truly made our stay exceptional, though, was the staff. Every member of the team was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making our experience memorable. Thank you for giving us such a magical ending to our honeymoon! We will always look back on our time at Melia with fond memories and we hope to return to Tanzania one day.

Where do I even begin?! Melia Zanzibar was hands down one of the BEST resorts we visited during our familiarization trip. I genuinely don't even know how to put this experience into words. It was a 100000000000000/10 from the moment we arrived until the moment we left! We stayed for one night and completed a site inspection the following morning, and I can honestly say I didn't want to leave. Everything about this resort screamed luxury. We originally booked an All Inclusive package, but to our surprise, we were upgraded to the **Premium All Inclusive** experience, which gave us access to every restaurant on the property. Of course, we took full advantage of it! We made it our mission to try as many restaurants, cocktails, and experiences as we possibly could because everything looked so good, and let me tell you, Melia did not disappoint. Every meal was incredible, every drink was beautifully crafted, and the service was exceptional wherever we went. As if that wasn't enough, they also upgraded us from a standard double room to one of their stunning villas with a huge private infinity pool. Walking into that villa honestly felt like something out of a movie. There were complimentary bottles of wine, premium spirits, delicious snacks, and every little luxury detail had been thoughtfully prepared. It truly felt like the definition of a five-star escape. One thing that really impressed me was just how massive the resort is. It's so expansive that they have complimentary golf carts constantly driving guests around the property. All you have to do is call, and within minutes someone is there to take you wherever you'd like to go. It's such a thoughtful touch and makes exploring the entire resort effortless. One of my favorite spots was their breathtaking restaurant overlooking the ocean. Dining with those views was an experience in itself, and the food was absolutely phenomenal. Another feature that really stood out to me was that they even have babysitters available for guests. As a mom, I immediately thought how amazing that is. Parents can enjoy a romantic dinner, relax at the spa, or simply unwind around the resort knowing their little ones are being cared for. It's such a thoughtful service that makes luxury travel even more enjoyable for families. Melia Zanzibar truly exceeded every expectation I had. The hospitality, the accommodations, the food, the drinks, the amenities, and the overall atmosphere were simply outstanding. This is the kind of resort where every detail has been carefully considered to make guests feel special. At Butiama & Beyond, we will absolutely be recommending Melia Zanzibar to our clients. Whether you're celebrating a honeymoon, anniversary, family vacation, girls' getaway, or you're simply looking to spoil yourself with an unforgettable luxury escape, this resort delivers on every level. A place to go and unwind. Went there for our 2nd year wedding anniversary and everything exceeded our expectations. Place is very well kept after and modern. Caters for gym goers, several pools, various restaurants, and The Level benefits are very worth it to opt for as well. Staff are very nice and super friendly, from managers to everyone whom you encounter. Managed to do a special dinner for my wife, whereby the staff catered for all our needs :) Highly recommend and will go for sure again and to other Melia chain hotels/resorts :)

From the start, the stay was amazing because we got upgraded from the garden view rooms to the ocean view pavilions. This was a random upgrade and we weren’t even told but much appreciated! The hotel and rooms were clean and spacious, but some of the electronics in the rooms were not working such as the TV not turning off with the remote. Apart from this, the rooms were fantastic. Regarding the staff, they were absolutely brilliant and hospitable. They were all so kind and caring, especially Elifuraha who was the most kindest and attentive waiter in the evening buffet and Witness who was lovely during breakfast. Said was also extremely helpful when we requested the chef to make meals for us. The only issue that we had was the food for vegetarians. The buffet had the options but it was not always sufficient, for example they had dahl but only had chicken rice and not plain rice. Nonetheless, the staff were happy to accommodate for us with the chef kindly making meals like chilli paneer for us. We raised this issue with one of the higher ups who explained the difficulty with sourcing vegetarian food which we completely understood. The last issue was that in one of the rooms the WiFi connection was gone for 4 days and I did get an answer as to what was wrong with it, but felt as if there was a lack of communication regarding how long it would take to fix… we left the hotel with it still not working! Overall, the stay was absolutely amazing regardless of the issues. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other people.
