The hotel is absolutely stunning – a place with soul, atmosphere, and a level of class that is becoming increasingly rare. Intimate, მშვიდ and full of charm – perfect for those who truly want to relax and experience the authentic spirit of Zanzibar, rather than stay in a faceless, oversized resort. The food is a true masterpiece. A huge advantage is that meals are ordered from a menu – like in an elegant restaurant – rather than served as a buffet. At first, I was worried that this might leave me hungry or that I wouldn’t find anything for myself, but those concerns were completely unfounded. Every dish was refined, delicious, and pleasantly surprising. The standard is truly exceptional. Dinners are a separate experience altogether – each evening is organized in a different style and location within the hotel. Every detail is carefully thought out, creating a unique atmosphere and a real sense of luxury. The hotel also offers flexible dining options – you can choose all-inclusive or half board and order additional meals as you wish. The rooms are beautiful, spacious, very clean, and meticulously serviced every day. You can see the attention to every detail. The entire hotel maintains a high standard in every aspect – everything is carefully designed and perfected “to the last detail.” The hotel is small (only 25 rooms), but this is actually one of its greatest strengths – it provides a sense of peace, privacy, and exclusivity. Elegant, authentic, and preserving the true character of Zanzibar, which is increasingly rare today. The beach by the hotel is different from the typical “postcard-perfect” views – it is more natural, lush, with trees, and clearly affected by tides, which are a daily phenomenon in Zanzibar. For some, this may be surprising, but for me, it is part of the charm – wild nature and authenticity. If seaweed is a problem for someone, it would be better to choose a pool in Egypt rather than such a real, natural paradise. An additional advantage is the possibility of transport to a beautiful beach in Uroa – the hotel organizes it three times a day. There is a bar and private, guarded sunbeds available, so you can safely leave your belongings and explore the area. I also highly recommend a walk to the right along the beach – you can reach local shops run by residents and Maasai (e.g., Maasai Thomas), which gives you a chance to experience the real local atmosphere. The staff deserve special recognition – they are wonderful, helpful, always smiling, and create an incredible atmosphere. The managers deserve separate praise as they are constantly present and engaged in the life of the hotel. They don’t just “manage from behind the scenes” – they are visible, talk to guests, ask for feedback, and genuinely listen. It’s clear they truly care about making every stay exceptional. They respond even to the smallest remarks and ensure everything runs perfectly. Importantly, they also create an amazing atmosphere within the team – thanks to this, the staff are cohesive, professional, and at the same time very warm. You can feel that these are people who enjoy their work and put their heart into it, which directly translates into the guest experience. Thanks to them, my fiancé and I will remember our holiday at this hotel for the rest of our lives. In summary – this is not just a hotel, but a place that creates unforgettable memories for a lifetime. It impresses not only with its appearance but above all with its atmosphere, authenticity, and the people who put their heart into every, even the smallest, detail. It is a perfect combination of elegance, tranquility, and the true spirit of Zanzibar, which is hard to find in large, impersonal resorts. This is a place you don’t just want to return to – it stays in your heart for a long time.
