Room was very authentic Thai with wooden architecture. Great location within the town. Rooms were very clean and well kept. We had a family room and there was plenty of room for everyone. Great feel to the place. We sat out on the deck each night and enjoyed great views, beer and food. Staff were very friendly. I would recommend this spot to stay.

“Great base for Ayuthaya ”

First off we were greeted by a friendly helpful woman who was more interested in settling us in rather than getting all of the money up front which I though was a great quality. First off we were greeted by a friendly helpful woman who was more interested in settling us in rather than getting all of the money up front which I though was a great quality. I paid extra for a river view and the room was a decent size and had everything advertised - the air con worked amazingly! It's not a fancy place, but with all the sights in the area you won't spend too much of the day in the room so it wasn't a concern for me. Suggested improvement would be to furnish the rooms a little more, as we kept all of our stuff in our bags (not a hardship for 3 nights). The staff also helped us with sorting out airport transfer which was a plus and stress free for us.

We booked the family room which is in a wooden house, while the rest of the accommodation is in a modern building attached to it (above the restaurant). The bedding was very comfortable, there was enough space for everyone and the aircon worked well. The shower area, while not luxurious, was clean - we had no complains about it. The wifi worked well throughout, whether in the room or the restaurant downstairs, by the river. Breakfast was included (free flow of tea and coffee, 1 slice of bread with jam and butter, bacon and 2 eggs... and a generous serving of fruits the 2nd day only). Hence, our general requirements were met. However, we found the location a bit far from the main sights (about 1km from Wat Mahathat) and the night market, although with a tuk-tuk (which we manage to find relatively easily) it is not too bad. The wooden walls made the room a bit noisy, as it is located just above the restaurant, but to be fair, we slept better than we had initially expected. Finally, service could be improved: it felt that the accommodation was a side business to the restaurant, and even for the restaurant we had some difficulties communicating in English - but the food was EXCELLENT ! All considered, we would probably try and find a more convenient location, near the main sights, although we will probably come back for the restaurant.
