“Perfect spot, Silom”

Location is great, great value, love the vibe. Perfect spot in Bangkok to explore the city, especially around Silom. Rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

I stayed three nights at ibis Styles Bangkok Silom for a nearby conference and left genuinely impressed. Location is excellent — around 8 minutes on foot to Sala Daeng BTS station along a wide, well-maintained pavement, with some great food spots right on the doorstep: Moomoo Noodles, Sunrise Taco, and a solid cluster of options at Park Silom that kept me well-fed the entire stay. The property itself is modern, clean, and well-maintained — exactly what you want from a business trip. But the real standout was the staff, particularly Ms. Aye at reception. As an Accor Explorer member I didn't receive an upgrade, but she more than compensated with a genuinely convenient late checkout and some excellent local food recommendations that proved spot on. That kind of personalised, gracious hospitality is what earns loyalty. Every dollar well spent. Which brings me to a broader observation worth sharing for fellow Accor members travelling Thailand: in my experience across ibis Styles properties in Krabi and Kata (the stays that led me to take up the Explorer membership in the first place), the ibis-tier brands consistently punch above their weight — exceeding expectations on service, value, and genuine warmth. The Novotel-branded properties, by contrast, have been consistently underwhelming — with substandard facilities and, in at least one case (Novotel Patong Vintage Resort), an experience that went beyond disappointing into genuinely poor. A pattern worth noting — and worth Accor addressing.

“Very modern hotel in a great location.”

From security staff through to housekeeping, reception and restaurant staff, everyone we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. Top marks for that. From security staff through to housekeeping, reception and restaurant staff, everyone we encountered was extremely friendly and helpful. Top marks for that. Breakfast was very average with an egg station and the usual morning food. Rooms are very clean, but the downside for us is the washroom facilities. Sadly the Ibis is one of a growing number of new hotels with sink in the main part of the bedroom, and the WC and shower being separate. From a hygiene point of view, having no handwash facility in the WC is simply unacceptable.
