“Interesting boutique experience”

I had an interesting and pleasant stay. A Thai experience with a bit of Japanese hospitality. Great option for couples as well as business travellers.

“Economy Rooms for rent”

We spent the night at the Seven Hotel at the end of our Thailand trip. We were originally attracted by the boutique hotel classification accessed by the establishment. The experience was more economy level than we had expected. The building has six rooms total, and I'm not sure if the other rooms would be any different than ours. The room had been booked as a king bed, but it was actually two double beds with individual linens pushed up against one another. This doesn't make it great if you're sleeping as a couple because you will be locked into your own bed. There were some small flying bugs in the room. The room itself was small and taken up mostly with the bed. The curtains did not cover the window fully, which would be a plus if you like to wake up with the light of the dawn. The bathroom shower was okay for two people with good water pressure and temperature. The small bathroom is separated by a frosted glass door and a non-frosted window to the bedroom, so bathroom privacy is not good. The room did not have much in terms of contained storage like drawers, so it was good that we were only there for one evening. There is a breakfast service of rice boiled in milk along with some little donut like Thai breakfast pastries. If you are sensitive to milk, there are several breakfast places nearby. It seems like the establishment is trying to be a hotel but I felt like the rooms were a step up from a hostel. The young people that were providing service were attentive and we did feel like they were trying to help us have a good time. I just feel that the accommodations were a bit Spartan in our room. The lobby area, however, is set up nicely as a lounge. Also, be prepared for the fact there is no elevator. You will need to take up to three flights of stairs to get to your room. The stairs themselves are a bit narrow, so if you are tall or have large feet, this could be a challenge. We did not hear any outside noise from my room, so the positioning and or sound insulation is good. The hotel was okay to stay for a single night, but I think I might try the one or two other options available on that same little street instead if I were to do this again.
