My family of four (2 teenagers) stayed here for 9 nights in 2 superior cottages. Positives: - I cannot say enough good things about Lin (manager/cook)! So friendly and went out of her way to prepare home style meals for my family. Cooking is very traditional Thai and she introduces you to all kinds of new local foods. This can be difficult for the teenage pallet but my husband and I enjoyed the adventures in eating. In fact each meal was a personal request, a trip to the market, and done with great care. Delicious sticky rice and mango!! She met us with a smile each day and her English is terrific. She confirmed plans at the elephant park, brought my son a box of macaroons for his birthday, gave us a special “to go” box of candies bananas. She left for a couple days to Bangkok and brought us back a delicious treat in a bamboo cup. Lin is a special lady! - every cottage has a nice porch with lounge chairs that face the river, nicely decorated and clean. - it is beautiful and peaceful here. Very quaint and definitely makes you feel that you are in Thailand. - filtered water (which is a big necessary here) and tea all the time. -feels very safe -bed is comfy, air conditioning, fridge/freezer. Negatives: -official restaurant menu is limited -no bar, sometimes you can get a beer. -you cannot walk to a restaurant or store from here so make sure you have a ride. -the ride into the city is a half hour. -the resort definitely has some wear and tear, so don't come looking for perfect. Outdoors is well manicured. - I’m not sure if it’s because we are the only ones here but there is often no staff around unless you catch them at meal times. - no safe for locking up any valuables. - restaurant is not air conditioned.

“Beautiful peaceful little place to stay away from the hustle and bustle”

We unfortunately had to cut our stay at this gorgeous little place from 2 nights to 1 but certainly not because we weren't happy. Quite the contrary, the location on the river is so peaceful and lovely. The rooms are very nice, well furnished and decorated and have everything you need. There are canoes and lifejackets provided for exploring the river. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and welcoming. A good breakfast provided and freshly cooked. There was no restaurant operating at night while we stayed, probably as it was low season with only a few people staying, however the lovely gentleman who seemed to be in charge organised some really good food for us to be brought in. The staff set a table for us and made it really special and enjoyable. It is a little bit tricky to find but we did manage it without too much trouble eventually and also is quite far from the main city area which we were well aware of, so if you want to spend some peaceful relaxing time out of the city, it is a really lovely place to stay. The pool area is very nice and there are lovely walks along the river through the resort. We enjoyed our stay very much and I think as long as you understand about the distance you will have a wonderful time if you just want to chill.
