“Wonderful hotel in Chiang Mai”

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff. Clean, delicious breakfasts, quiet, good WiFi … highly recommended ! The location in Chiang Mai’s old city is very convenient. We would definitely choose the Nine Hotel again!

We stayed at the Nine hotel for 3 nights and can say that we loved the hotel. Its in a great location within the old town, the room was modern and very clean, breakfast was great and the hotel staff very helpful. Nice little pool for a dip and rooftop sun terrace. Also complementary bicycles for guests to use. So glad we booked and if back in Chang Mai, will definitely return. 10/10

Fantastic place to stay at, if I come back to Bangkok, I’m not going anywhere other than here. If nothing else, then I’d come back just for the amazing service that was provided, with the staff always being happy and willing to help and extremely receptive to any request or comment that we had even in passing. The room was a little small, but expected for what was paid for in the value, but the real value was provided in the amenities of this place. The breakfast was huge and included with very good food that was authentically Thai and handmade then in there, the pool area was very well kept and gorgeous. There was even a lounge for people who didn’t have flights until later on in the day, but already checked out where you could play games, have nook to sleep in, or just hang out and have somewhere to be until you have to go to the airport, which is huge, considering our plane didn’t leave until midnight the day that we checked out. They were happy to store our luggage in a secure spot until we were ready as well. The best part about this place was the upstairs patio where my fiancé and I would go to smoke five times plus a day. we go up there, even if we didn’t smoke as it had a great view, was beautifully designed with big plants, and had shaded and sunny lounge chairs that were made from bamboo. The whole patio felt very authentic. They played Christmas music on the patio and it was good songs, but on repeat. when checking out as a joke, my boyfriend, and I made a passing comment on the repetitive Christmas music, and the next time we went up to the deck, there was a new playlist! Not to mention the fact that the owner made a point of remembering our names. Phenomenal experience, great location, good beds.

Text: Pros: Modern small hotel, down a side street but good location within the old city and quiet for a good nights sleep. Rada on reception was fantastic and worked hard to ensure we had an enjoyable stay. Very clean room and comfy beds. Fantastic laundry lady just around the corner! Cons: Our room was ready when we arrived at the hotel from the sleeper train from Bangkok. However the hotel charge 100 baht per hour to have your room before the 2pm check in time! This cost us 500 THB. Never had this before in any hotel. Fair enough if your room isn’t ready before 2pm but if it’s ready why not give your guests the benefit of using it as a nice touch! Also emailed the hotel a couple of months before arrival and explained my daughter was gluten free. Nothing had been arranged to accommodate this. However, on speaking with Rada on the second day she did ensure the kitchen staff had gluten free bread and a different breakfast option each morning for her. Only one choice at breakfast. Hardly any storage in bedrooms.
