I have stayed at Hilton’s, Crown Plaza’s, Waldorf’s & many hotels of varying ratings. Le Park Hotel, Thung Song, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand is the BEST for service I have stayed in 14 years travelling Asia. The hotel with limited facilities rose above all due to EXCELLENT SERVICE LEVELS from staff who are genuinely pleased to assist not like some hotels where they pursue service to hold ratings. At Le Park they really wanted to make me comfortable. Generally there is not much to do in Thung Song and transport especially at night is problematic. Taxis as available in most countries are almost unheard of in Thung Song. Whilst at Le Park, the Staff ( Jube, Daranee & Sao plus the other Lady whose name I did not obtain ) surpassed all service levels to get me wherever I wanted to be sometimes late at night. The Thung Song train station I had to be at 02h30 with baggage was not a problem for the Manager to arrange personally to take me at a nominal fee. They were eager and assisted me daily with request for information or getting me from place A to place B. The hotel previously had an attached restaurant but this has now been closed hopefully temporarily. For this reason I had to find and be taken to alternative venues which the staff arranged whenever required and cheaply. My room was cleaned daily and at times when I required laundry to be done it was returned quickly and at minimal cost. I stayed at the hotel on two different occasions for approximately 10 days total and on the second round I was given my previous room which I did appreciate. WIFI is excellent and quick with new passwords issued daily when you pass reception. Not once was the signal dropped nor interrupted. Generally the hotel is clean & clinical and frequented mostly by business people. The ONLY downside was the elevator which was audible although Room 503 is 10mts. away. I was not affected by the adjacent railway line with trains passing regularly at all times. The second negative is that two emails sent remain unanswered. There are alternative Thung Song hotels but Le Park will always be my favourite and remembered for its outstanding service levels. A coffee shop, restaurant / lounge / live music venue, supermarket, wholesalers and open air market are all within minimal distance. Deliveries from some branded restaurants are possible. In essence the STAFF @ Le Park makes this hotel work.
