Khanom Sunrise Beach Hotel

“Close to the beach.”

I have been here for my meeting in the beginning of the year so the weather was a little was with hard wind and rain. The place quite normal nothing special but the staff are friendly. Food are good if you stay here no need to go out for any restaurant.

Hi-light: restaurant and swimming pools are on the beachfront, all rooms are beyond at the back, so just wake up early and have a good view of Khanom beach sunrise. Location: **** beachfront on Highway 4014 at the south end of Khanom beach, 2 km. from Hua Thanon junction, easily accessible by private car Universal design: ** the place is not easily accessible for wheelchair person with a steep-step stairway to every room and to the beach, no disabled toilets and parking. Cleanness: ** the room is clean but the blanket sheet has some dirty stains, The bathroom and toilet should have a good maintenance. Safety: *** the rooms are safe, but the garden area seems to be quite dark under the tree shades at night with inadequate lamp light, no security guards Food: ** included breakfast is simple and has not much choice, may be not enough if there is a big group of tourists. Privacy: ** the beach is good and long enough to find your own private spot, but the resort bungalows are built quite near each other, you can clearly hear other room’s noise if they have a big party. Staffs: *** the staffs are friendly but rather inactive and not professional, you have to contact them to ask for help or something. Facilities: **** standard facilities in the room, the restaurant, swimming pool and conference room are good and well-equipped.

“Needing a lot of T.L.C”

Back again for the last time. The hotel was full with a party of Thai tourist who were the only people catered for at breakfast which was awful. We asked the staff for freshly cooked eggs as the ones that were on the table had been there for a long time and were cold. After a wait of 15 min. we had… more

Back again for the last time. The hotel was full with a party of Thai tourist who were the only people catered for at breakfast which was awful. We asked the staff for freshly cooked eggs as the ones that were on the table had been there for a long time and were cold. After a wait of 15 min. we had to ask again and finally got them. Hot water boiler empty ,coffee jug empty, looking for cutlery while the staff were sitting about and when asked for anything were not helpful.. Next morning a little better service but not great and this time they put some ham on the table. Bedroom clean, bathroom not so good, same as the last time. Still only a few sunbeds round the pool.Very disappointing as we thought we had found a nice little place to escape to for a few days every couple of months..
