This is part of the chain that I think has 3 hotels in town. The others are R hotel which situates on the same ground here, and the River hotel by the riverfront. This R-photo is, like others, clean, white, and has boutique-y feeling. The materials are on the cheap side. So it is affordable. The bed is very comfortable. Wifi works well even though have to re-connect once in awhile. The place is decorated with cameras and is designed to be Instagrammed. The style may appear old-fashioned for some people. Personally, it's too sterile, unimaginative. A note: the place is pro-royal, with king # 9 portrait and quote etched on the restaurant's wall... if that matters to your principles.

A reasonably priced hotel, it is quite a bit out of town, about a 5 K drive to get to the walking street area. Beds are fine. It kind of tries to be a fancy hotel, but doesn't quite make it. For example, fancy shower heads, but the water temperature was very difficult to control. Also, nice bed, but no room for sitting really, just one wire chair. For the price, it is a good option if you don't mind the drive into town. Had a good breakfast buffet but again mixed effort -- had sticky rice with sausage available, but only if you grabbed it when it first came out, because it was gone quickly and there was no more for quite a while.

“Short stay but comfortable enough”

Quite a modern hotel with nice bright rooms. I was lucky to stay on the 4th floor with the front view of the hotel (small garden area). Not all the rooms have this view. Other family members had a different view (temple) which wasn't as good apparently. Staff friendly enough. Did not try any food. … more

Quite a modern hotel with nice bright rooms. I was lucky to stay on the 4th floor with the front view of the hotel (small garden area). Not all the rooms have this view. Other family members had a different view (temple) which wasn't as good apparently. Staff friendly enough. Did not try any food. Value for money was good, but only stayed one night. Only issue in my room was the water in the shower was VERY slow at draining away. The safe also didn't work.

An acceptable place to stay for a few nights. Location is a few kilometers outside of the city center/walking street area. The sister hotel, R2, is located right behind so you have that option as well. There's generous parking and hotel grounds are maintained and tidy. Check-in is a bit stiff, receptionists doing the bare minimum and hardly saying anything. The room was perfectly fine with good cleanliness and comfy bed, everything is still in quite nice condition. However, walls are paper thin so can't say the room felt private as the soundproofing was so poor you could hear people cough in the adjacent room and lean against the headboard of their bed which was against the wall—just to give you an idea. Also found that the bathroom had a strange odor, perhaps coming from the pipes. The hotel has a coffee shop, Japanese restaurant, and a rooftop bar/restaurant; the latter was always empty and staff would be lounging outside, leaning against the railing and eyeing guests from above. Even when we went upstairs, no one said a word or approached to welcome us, so we ended up going someplace else. At the time of our visit, breakfast was closed and had been since the pandemic. Reception isn't available 24h but there's a guard on duty at night, we checked-out at dawn and found the guard sleeping soundly on the sofa in the lobby.

We went to R photo hotel based on the review. A brief family vacation to Nakhon Phanom for two nights. This was a budget hotel at best which managed like low cost airline. We booked and stayed in the suite (“large format”type of room Baht 1990 per night). The hotel decorated with all kind of cameras as photogenic spot. I figured with two adults and two kids. It should be perfect. The room was large with jacuzzi. Unfortunately the water pressure was weak so it took ages to fill the jacuzzi. The bed were two single beds made into one. That was too small for four. A charge of Baht 350 for extra bed. That was fair. But an extra towel would incur Baht 50. That was a bit fastidious. If your kid accidentally wet the bed, it would be Baht 500 cleaning fee for bed sheet and bed guard (topper) For this, it was a bit steep. Breakfast was adequate. Hotel restaurant and cafe were good enough but again a bit pricey. There was no pool nor view to enjoy. All in all, it was good enough only for a brief stay or a stop over.
