I've been to Thailand many times over the years, but always avoided Pattaya, as I thought it had a bad reputation. I stand corrected. Yes, there is a sleezy side, but the Amari is on the other end of the beach, and it's really, really nice. The Amari itself is a family hotel, and I would have absolutely no hesitation in bringing my children here. I checked in, in July 2026, and soon had to complain to reception as I had neck ache. Every time I walked into my room (a "Deluxe Ocean View King") I would be shaking my head in disbelief. This room is GORGEOUS. Gorgeous. The room is large (49m2) has a great pool view with a side-view of the sea, fridge, safe, waterfall shower, coffee making facilities, tiny balcony, plenty of wardrobe space... it's gorgeous. And it's light. The room feels fresh, modern and light. And it's quiet. At night, I don't hear a thing from outside. Nothing. I'm not a big breakfast fan, but the breakfasts here... oh my God... an enormous selection of the usual breakfast foods, plus rice, curries, fried breakfasts, fresh fruit... it is amazing. There's even a small section just for kids. There's bars, restaurants, a 7-Eleven and Terminal 21 shopping mall just a few minutes walk away, you're next to the sea front, the pool is amazing, particularly if you have kids. They have an adults pool with *lots* of sunbeds (I never saw more than about 15% being used), and an awesome kids pool which I can only say, I wish I'd brought my kids when they were small. They would've never left. Pattaya beach is quite long, but every 10-20 seconds, you get a Baht Bus (truck) passing. Simply wave your hand, jump on to wherever you want to go, and pay 15 THB (34p/45c) for your ride. I had a foot operation this year, and this has been a lifesaver. There seems to be lots of Chinese guests in this hotel. Perfectly nice, but I sometimes wish there were signs telling guests to not have their YouTube videos blaring out noise in public areas. (Not a complaint to the hotel, but jeez... when did this become a thing ?!) In summary, would I recommend this place ? Oh yes. I've already asked if I can stay an extra 2 nights. Oh, and if this hotel is a little too expensive, the same company runs the Ozo hotel next door, which about 40% cheaper. My only complaint - and trust me, I'm digging deep here, is the hotel's own IT systems and Onyx reward scheme and website. Oh, it's terrible. I genuinely almost didn't book this hotel, because it's so unstable and flaky. I had to email the hotel a couple of weeks before, because it wouldn't let me set up an account and verify it (I've worked in web development for 20 years... trust me.. I know what I'm doing, and please don't ask me to clear my cookies...) Tonight, trying to get a quote for staying an extra two days, using the hotel's own website, sometimes it would tell me that there was no availability. But other times (and with all third-party websites), there was. And most mornings when my laptop attempts to log into the free Wifi, it usually fails with an "Internal Server Error" or something strange. So, the hotel is great, but if you need internet, get yourself a Thai SIM card, and use your phone's Mobile Hotspot instead. So, to the hotel management, give your hotel staff a payrise. They're awesome, and this hotel has been the highlight of my trip to Thailand. And then, go and upgrade your I.T. staff. I've never seen a loyalty scheme which is so unstable, it's almost made me not come to a hotel. ;-)

“Wonderful Experience with Excellent Service”

I had such a wonderful experience! Kaew and P’Tukky provided amazing service and took great care of us. They were both very friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I truly enjoyed my time here and was very impressed with the service. Highly recommended and definitely worth a visit! ❤️
