My husband and I very much enjoyed our stay at the Intimate. The Intimate offers a very good central location for a base in Pattaya. Our room was lovely, the shower was great with very good water pressure. We loved the rooftop pool and went every day. The staff is excellent – friendly, helpful and professional. The breakfast was outstanding. It definitely boasted the best coffee [which the staff made on a complicated machine] during our trip through Thailand. The breakfast offered an egg station, fruit and salad bar, cereal and a variety of hot dishes. The hot dishes were a stand-out, with many of them better than what we got for dinner at the local restaurants. Kudos! Our walk to the beach was about 8 minutes. We used a laundry service about 1 ½ blocks down soi 12 on the left-hand side when walking to towards the beach. The cost of wash and dry was 80 BHT/kilo without ironing. They did a good job. We tried both massage places at the end of the hotel’s entrance. Risa 8 was fine, but we liked the Coconut better on the right as you exit to the street. There were loads of local restaurants. Walk to the right at the end of the Soi, and you get to the Pattaya Night Market, on the right hand side. Central Pattaya Mall is next [on the beach side of the road]. Check out the basement food court and grocery store. If you walk about 1 mile – you can always take a songthaew – you get to Terminal 21 Mall. This is a really fun MUST DO MALL. Each floor has a different country theme and worth exploring. We also loved the many real planes sitting outside the mall. It’s worth the walk. We also liked visiting the 747 plane in a small park on the way to Terminal 21. It is a mystery to us how they ever got this plane to its current location. We also loved the fake small plane crashing into the roof of a building just to the left of the hotel’s exit. Pattaya has an exceptional theme and identity related to the airline industry that was unique for a tourist town. Overall, this hotel was an excellent place to stay.
