A lovely and romantic place for a getaway. There are only 4 private villa and bungalows. We stayed in the one without a pool. Personally think our villa has the nicest view overlooking a lake. Villa is clean and comfortable. Has a huge open air bathroom which we love so much. Tge owner, Yusof was so helpful to drive us to anywhere with minimal charges. Will definitely return to this little piece of heaven on earth.

Wasn't really sure what I was getting into when I booked into this resort but seemed like an adventure. From the pictures on their FB, I know its gonna be an outing to be one-with the nature and indeed we were. We got to the Songkhla a little late because we had some tire issue and it was raining and getting dark so finding this location was like a little confusing as WAZE took us through some small roads, but we found it. However, there is an easier way from the main road if you are coming from the City of Songkhla. There are only 5 villas at this resort (and one is used by the owner who built this resort). There are 2 standard villas, 1 standard villa with a pool facing the lake and their latest more luxurious villa, also with a pool. We were booked for three nights, our first in the luxurious pool villa, which I would say is easily about 120 sqm in size, comes with a small hut with outdoor lounge bed and sitting area (we had our dinner here), a plunge pool with a wooden deck, a huge outdoor bathroom and a very comfortable bedroom with smart TV, Nescafe Dolce Coffee Machines, king size bed with mosquito netting, built in closet, sofa and coffee table and a small work table. We had strong wind and heavy rain that night, and was worried with have leakage but I guess with amazing architecture and construction, this Thai-designed villa stood up to the angry weather. The second and third night was spent in the standard villa with a lake-view pool. The villa is a little smaller in size, but still comes with an outdoor bathroom, and plunge pool with a small pool deck. The standard villa comes with a queen-size bed instead of the king-size in the luxurious villa. Breakfast was healthy - we had Khao Yum and the American Breakfast on the first day and Fish Porridge on the second. The third morning we went back to the American Breakfast. The portion is of good size, food is fresh, delicious and healthy. You can also order the Doi Chaang Coffee which they will bring out a grinder for you grind the beans and then brew on your table side. In terms of activities, the resort is adjacent to a lake which you can go out to explore on kayak, some good jogging / biking trail and some nice waterfalls nearby (was told the waterfall only appears during Nov to Mar). Overall i would say it is a very nice resort - built right on acres of greeneries and lakes but yet the "green" villas has all the luxurious amenities that you might need such as wifi, smart TV, coffee machines, etc. A lot of detail design and craftmanship were put into building these villas (the owner is a trained architect) and it is very comfortable. Food wise is very healthy, goes along with being one in nature. Service here is amazing - pretty much personalized since there are only max of 8 or 10 people here and when we were here, there were another couple with a kid on the first night and pretty much the whole resort to ourselves on the second and third night. We came back late one night and it was raining, and they were so kind to grab an umbrella for us to go back to our villa. Breakfast is made to order at the time you wanted and you have eat at the sala or have it sent to your villa. I would say this place is ideal for couples looking for a quiet outing, or those who are seeking to be one with the nature but yet have all the modern amenities. Songkhla City is also just a 10 minute drive away with plenty of things to see and eat.

Booked direct with resort to get very special price. We were lost along the way to hotel. The resort should put more signs for direction. We finally reached the resort by ending up asking the direction with the staff. We booked 1 bed room with pool villa which was very nice. The hotel is located in the forest next to the dam. The room was nice, the garden around villa was nice. The staff was nice though. One bad thing to live in the forest was mosquitoes and insects at night. Outdoor bathroom was nice at day but very nightmare at night. The small pool in the villa was nice. You swim and enjoy the green scenery at same time. I love breakfast, only 2 choice but great ;)

Here's the quick review and the more elaborate below it: Plus: it's in nature, breakfast was yummy, it's cute and instagramable Minus: hard to find, no food available except breakfast, bugs Location: There are four cottages so it's very quiet. Finding the location is a bit of an adventure as it's off the beaten path. Finding the location at night is just scary as there are hardly any street lights and gps can take you the wrong way and insist you turn left into buildings. When you arrive, the view of the beautiful lake welcomes you. The cottages are super cute, and I was excited to stay in the beautiful room with the outdoor bathroom. The room: I was in cottage number 1, which has a "pool." The pool is like a 6'x4' cut out of concrete with water in it. Nonetheless, I went in and enjoyed my sunset over the forest. No pool towels available. There is a patio with chairs to sit on. The neighbors were out drinking on it all night (in their cottage, not mine). There are also two lounge chairs which I laid on while reading...and getting bitten by red ants. I was warned the next morning when having breakfast brought up that there are red ants, but it was already too late. The bathroom is outdoors so there are bugs everywhere. I've never seen so many bugs in my life (some i've never seen in my life before), but I wasn't bothered by it because it's their home. I just had to put all my things away everyday because I didn't want something crawling on my toothbrush. The towel and towel rack is also outside so shake it before you use it. The toilet is in the corner blocked by a shower curtain which if closed touches your knees while peeing. Also, the closed curtain makes it a gecko paradise. Bathroom had shampoo, body wash and body lotion available. There are two showers. Inside the room is very cute, and felt like glamping. The AC was not working as no matter how low I set it to, it was the same air being blown out. The AC was leaking on me so I had to move my head to the side of the bed. The next morning I woke up to ant bites all over my body, including parts covered by pjs! I found the ants inside the sheets. I had already thrown the fancy sheet onto the floor because there was a dead bug on it, hoping that housekeeping would take care of it. I returned later in the day and the room was not touched. The only guy working when I got back was the security. I can deal with bugs outside the cottage, but having so many inside was unacceptable to me. SO here's how they get in and out ( I found out because their was a giant lizard going in and out), there is an opening between the thatch roof and the side of the four walls. You can't see it unless you look because it looks like the ceiling touches the top of the wall. This is probably why it's not cold enough for me! The breakfast: it's amazing!!!! and sometimes they give you a fresh coconut, sometimes they don't. We had ours in the room, and they deliver it to your patio. That's when she warned me about the ants. The service: the night security was the nicest person. He greeted us when we returned every night. There is no actual reception, so while we were trying to pay and leave no one seemed to care. We had to flag someone and say "hey we need to pay. " The room and location is beautiful, but the service and housekeeping need to be worked on, so I say it has lots of potential.
