The Hyatt Regency is a luxury hotel in the heart of Trinidad. It's located in a prime location, just a few minutes walk from some eateries and amenities. Checking-in is simple and very easy. The staff at concierge and reception are very professional, warm, welcoming, and attentive. They make the process of checking-in pleasant and try to match available rooms to personal needs or requests of the guests. Some of the staff who were instrumental in this process and general day to day greetings, who come to mind, are Christopher Seargent, and Ravi. I apologise unreservedly to the other staff on reception and at concierge because they were all equally wonderful. During our stay my family and I enjoyed the wonderful hotel amenities. The pool was a little small, but still an oasis from some of the heat and cool place to relax. The gym, which is impressively open 24 hours per day, was small, but equipped with various weight machines, treadmills, steppers, towels, anti bacterial cleaning wipes, gel alcohol, a TV screen, a water station and air conditioning. I felt the air conditioning should have been a bit stronger, considering that once exercising in a gym, people generally become warm , if not hot and/or sweaty. I was; however, impressed with the cleanliness and accessibility. The coffee shop and small gift shop were available everyday in the lobby. The gift shop is very small and attached to the coffee shop, but stocks a few gifts, traditional Trinidadian sweets, snacks and cold drinks. The coffee shop, itself, is also small, but provides an array of coffees, sweet treats, sandwiches, protein shakes, and pastries. It should be noted that the shops only accept card payments. They are cashless and gratuity tips are a must. You cannot purchase any of the goods via your card without entering an amount for a tip. Our rooms in the Hyatt were incredible and kept flawlessly clean by the housekeeping team. The rooms are generously proportioned with king sized beds, a coffee stable, a much larger table, two two-seater chairs and an additional dining chair. This was all open plan. Some of the single rooms, like the one I had, have the shower unit and sink within the room, others are separate. Either way, they are extremely spacious. My family and I had views of the sea from our rooms. It should be noted that the rooms have fridges, safes, ample wardrobe space with an iron and ironing board, daily replenished bottles of water and a bucket for ice. On each floor in a dedicated room, there is access to a microwave and ice machine. My family and I had breakfast included in our packages. The buffet breakfast was incredible. There is something to suit everyone! From continental breakfast, to hot food including an omelette station, and delicious traditional Trinidadian food. Some of my favourites were the fried bakes and saltfish! As we were privileged to spend 9 glorious days there, I noticed that there was a different soup, fish dish, sausage dish, bake, and vegetable dish every day. The staff who greeted us, seated us, and served us at breakfast, lunch, for drinks, snacks, and dinner were like their colleagues at reception and on concierge, professional, very attentive, warm, and welcoming. Some of the names that I recall are: Seth, Aletha, Shanice, Raneesha, Daniel, Jess, Kim, Jude, Nadine, Sopen, Celine, Danielle, Jeremy, and Stephanie. Once again, I apologise to the other generous and grateful stay members whose names I did not include. The team are wonderful. The cocktails and food; especially the Trinidadian dishes were incredible. There is also a sushi menu and snack menu that is available everyday after 5.00 pm. My only criticism is that the menu is a little limited and the delightful corn soup and a few other dishes were a little high in salt, but nonetheless the food was incredible, it was fresh, very healthy and full of flavour. I would highly review this luxury hotel in the heart of Trinidad for its wonderful amenities, the wonderful staff and very relaxed, warm, and welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely return to this wonderful country and hotel in the future.

From the first day my family and I arrived, we were made to feel comfortable by a very helpful reception team. When my mum requested a room nearer to my sister and I, with a lower bed they delivered on both levels courteously, helpfully and quickly. Christopher Sergeant is one of many front desk staff who went above and beyond to help us. Ravi and the concierge team welcomed us and made our arrival a pleasant one. Both teams mentioned are the first point of contact for visitors. Hence, a positive first impression is paramont. In the restaurant, the staff made us feel special and personalised our dining experience wherein they took time to know us and served us in a warm, professional and friendly manner. High standards never faltered even during busy periods such as Mother's day weekend! Although we had 5 more days at another location, we were saddened to bid farewell to the staff. It is important for me acknowledge the staff who made our time so memorable. To name a few, we are grateful to the following representatives for an amazing first time in Trinidad.
