“Great location and friendly staff”

Amazing hotel two minutes walk from Sultanahmet square and Blue Mosque. Great various breakfast with the view from 6th floor restaurant. The staff is nice, friendly and very helpful. The room was quite large and comfortable for a few days stay. Really enjoyed the stay in Lady Diana hotel.

We recently stayed at the Lady Diana Hotel in Istanbul as a group of four, occupying two rooms. The hotel is in a good location, with major attractions such as the Blue Mosque within easy walking distance, which is convenient for sightseeing. However, the breakfast was very basic and offered limited variety. Our main concern relates to the level of support and professionalism shown by some members of staff, particularly at reception. One of the rooms was extremely hot, to the point of being uncomfortable. Our mother cannot tolerate excessive heat, and as a result her face became swollen, red, and developed a heat rash. We raised this with staff and were advised that the underfloor heating had been turned off; however, the room remained piping hot. Knowing her condition, we asked if it would be possible to change rooms, but this request was declined and handled in an unhelpful manner. Unfortunately, this caused our mother’s condition to worsen. Additionally, during our stay our mother became unwell while having a massage. She passed out, experienced cold sweats, and was unable to walk properly afterwards. We approached reception to ask whether there was a qualified medical professional, such as a doctor, on site to assess her. We were advised instead to speak to the massage staff, as they were said to be “more than qualified.” This response was not appropriate or reassuring. In a hotel of this size, there should be access to a qualified medical professional or at least clear emergency procedures in place. Due to the emergency situation, we also requested a drink for our mother to help her regain some energy and were given a Fanta. While we understand that drinks are not complimentary, we were disappointed that we were immediately asked to pay for it while we were still distressed and focused on helping her. In such circumstances, a bit more patience and understanding would have been appreciated. Overall, this experience was disappointing and fell short of expectations.

I stayed here for a week in April on a girls trip. When i viewed the website i was happy with the hotel choice the travel agent made. However as we got to the hotel and proceeded with check in. I was quite disappointed as we were told we would be in a room with a king size bed and its an economic room which is not listed on their website. When we got to the room i was even more disappointed as the room was so tiny with no WINDOW. The bed was not king size it was a double, the inner for the duvet was bigger than the cover. The bathroom had a weird smell and the ventilation was terrible as we had to keep the aircon on all the time. The hotel itself was also very dusty, it needs a deep clean. The website says 4 star but my rating for Lady Diana Hotel is a definite 2.5 star.
