We check in to this hotel after leaving the Sakarya Grand Hotel after a terrible experience staying one night there. Ottoman hotel for us consider the better ones in Sakarya since we did when to check two other hotels in the area. It was very nice, clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room is clean, spacious and have the basic thing for a hotel room. there is no safe in the room and I suggest if you have valuable things to carry it on you since if you leave it at the front desk they will only keep it at the drawer of the front desk for you. The only thing is the wall is thin so you could hear your next door guest but that is not a problem for us. The breakfast buffet were delicious and have good spread for Turkish breakfast. The server were helpful and polite to help you especially Mr. Mert Karatas who could speak a little English and Mr. Enes AKA. Ms. Mele (not sure the spelling) at the Front Desk were very helpful and could speak little English too. We stayed at the suite which were very nice and spacious. There is no coffee maker in the room except mini fridge and two glasses. we suggest the hotel to add the prices list for the mini bar in the room for the guest information but you could order room service for hot and cold drinks and also at night light sandwiches. The hotel is not far from down town about 10 - 15 minutes by taxi or car. We will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone and we would definitely stay here whenever we are in Sakarya for a visit.

Hotels in small provincial cities in Turkey are notoriously unpredictable. Adapazarı, the name for the centre of Sakarya, boasts a number of relatively small hotels, many of which are run-down and uninviting, but the Ottoman is a pleasant exception. A modern building with a restaurant attached, clean, free wi-fi and some English spoken. The rooms are relatively small but comfortable with functional air-conditioning and a reasonable selection of TV channels. Rooms at the front are subject to traffic noise. The decor is rather strange, modern, but with occasional statues and ornately framed portraits of Ottoman sultans attempting to justify the hotel's name. An unlikely destination for tourists, though only two hours away from both Istanbul and Ankara, so more of an option for businessmen and commercial travellers. The buffet breakfast is typical and served in the restaurant, which has a reasonable menu for evening meals. The local specialities, pumpkin soup and a variety of pumpkin deserts are worth a try if you happen to be passing through. Good for two or three nights if you happen to have business in the area.

the decor is a bit garish - an attempt to go with the name. however, not quite there. there are two mannequins of jannisaries in full ceremonial regalia at the reception. quite lifelike i must say. also a ready reckoner for the entire ottoman sultan lineup with pictures and dates. quite good. check in was smooth. the lift was quite something. our rooms were numbered in the 200 series but we went to the first floor. the rooms themselves were small. there was a small window from where i could have if i wanted to chatted up with the neighbours and exchanged receipes. other rooms might have better views. the bed was OK and the linen clean. the wall skirtings were coming off though in some place and the carpet was a bit discoloured. the toilet was functional but OK - not good not bad - no windows though. we were there just for one night and just crashed. so no problem overall. this is a new building so overall things were OK. internet is available. there is also a restaurant on site as well as a hamam. we paid TL 100 for the room. this included breakfast which was a basic but good affair. the spread was nice with a choice of hot and cold both. overall quite a good hotel with value for money if you are planning to just sleep the night and spend the rest of time outside. would repeat given the same circumstances.
