“Brilliant”
We had our wedding here at the weekend.. Chris, Sarah and all the staff were amazing, so helpful, lovely people. The food is amazing, The rooms are beautiful, Surrounded by picturesque countryside.. can’t fault a thing… our guests were all happy and comfortable. Really pleased we chose The Bear… more

“Great food, great service.”
We visited for Sunday lunch and were not disappointed. Such a great place full of character. On arrival the bar staff were very friendly and welcoming. The beer was decent and reasonably priced. “Loved it.”
We had a lovely time at the Bear. It’s a 500year old coaching inn, and has a charming, idiosyncratic character. It’s family run, and everyone was so helpful, and informative. “Nearly but not quite.”
Didn’t quite live up to its reviews as far as I was concerned. Very good food but not very much of it, the starters were very lite to say the least. Staff were in short supply, no Lemon or Ice behind the bar, the whole thing didn’t quite meet the price point they charge.
