A good welcome at reception. The rooms and bathrooms were a good size and spotlessly clean. Breakfast in the morning had plenty of choice and hot breakfasts were cooked to order. Would recommend staying here

Room was as advertised, staff were friendly. The drawbacks: - the tv in the room did not accept HDMI input - when I requested an extra chair, I was told this would not be possible - weeks after my stay, I received a parking charge (for over 80% of what I paid for the room!) for using the attached parking, administered by Horizon Parking. I remember using the provided tablet to put my car's details in whilst talking to the member of staff at reception. However it appears that it didn't register correctly somehow. When I appealed the charge attaching my proof of booking, the response included the following: "There are signs located at the entrance to, and within the car park that state the terms and conditions that apply when parking. As clearly stipulated on signage within the car park, payment or registration for parking must be made for the full duration of the vehicles stay. Our systems do not show any evidence of payment or registration made against this vehicle on the incident date. The signs throughout the car park are clear and comply fully with the BPA’s prescribed rules and regulations. When parking on private land, it is the driver’s responsibility to ensure they adhere to the terms and conditions of the car park concerned. Please ensure on future visits that your full correct vehicle registration has been entered onto the tablet inside the facilities on arrival to prevent further Parking Charges from being issued. Unfortunately, our systems do not show any evidence of registration made against vehicle registration ******* Given the above, and whilst we have considered your representations carefully, on this occasion your appeal has been rejected." Contacting Premier Inn customer support, I was told that this was entirely in the hands of Horizon Parking and they couldn't help. Since I was unable to specifically provide proof that I entered my car's details, I had no recourse but to pay the fine. If I am required to stay at this location again, I will record myself putting my car's registration in the tablet at the desk and would recommend that anyone staying here do the same just in case. But most likely I will just look at alternative options.
