“Great experience”

We had a fantastic one night staff. Staff were friendly, breakfast was lovely and staff ensured we felt comfortable with having dietary needs, they provided fresh cooked breakfast to meet these needs and we felt fully confident in their efforts. The room was lovely and suited us as a family of 3.

Premier Inn's are usually of a good standard and this one is of no exception. We have stayed in the Bridge Street Premier Inn 3 times and have never had any complaints. Comfortable bed, clean room and friendly reception staff. The staff member did not announce our room number and we felt reassured that they were thinking of our safety. However, we were 'greeted' by a security staff member when we returned from our evening out, who asked for our room details and name. This information was asked in front of other guests. In light of recent highlighted security issues with some hotels (where non related guests have been given access to occupied rooms) I felt there would have been a better way to have checked the information. The staff member did not introduce himself and. in hindsight, we felt we should have questioned this. There were no extra locks on the inside of the room doors and a chain lock (or similar) would have been welcomed. This didn't spoil our stay, but it was a little niggle.

“Nice location”

We stayed here for the night as we were seeing a show at the nearby town hall. Check in was fast and efficient and we got straight into our room. We stayed here for the night as we were seeing a show at the nearby town hall. Check in was fast and efficient and we got straight into our room. The receptionist was super friendly but more about them later. The room was warm and bed was comfy with all the usual Premier Inn facilities. Breakfast in the restaurant was excellent. I am allergic to mushrooms so the lovely waitress took my order and all was cooked fresh. Choice was excellent and was well stocked. When we were leaving it was the same receptionist who checked us in. My partner took the key card to the desk and said thank you. She didn’t even look up from her phone or acknowledge us at all which I think is a little bit rude. Apart from that, it was an excellent stay!

“Generally satisfied at £60 but any more and I'm not so sure.”

My room was a bit smelly, it had a strong odour of spice and curry which was quite unpleasant at times. Plus it was a little bit tatty too, poor paint job, lots of small bits of damage. My room was a bit smelly, it had a strong odour of spice and curry which was quite unpleasant at times. Plus it was a little bit tatty too, poor paint job, lots of small bits of damage. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast was excellent, and getting in and out was easy also which sounds obvious but it's surprising how many hotels treat their guests like children with a curfew! My children's rooms were better than mine, cleaner and smelt fresher. Both of them. I drew the short straw. The lack of food and drinks in the night was frustrating and the vending machine was expensive and the only option. But for £60 it was good value.
