Firstly, I would like to thank the staff for wonderful service. Nothing is too much, they are kind, friendly and helpful. The hotel itself, does need some TLC. Little things like the chairs in the bar area near reception have dirty hand marks on them (they are light coloured fabric and this means not easily cleaned). The chairs in the dining room were also grimy through use. There have certainly been efforts to improve the rooms. Ours was clean, with exception of the windows (they are coastal and seagulls do frequent the area!) and the bathroom extractor fan which was dusty. The room appeared freshly painted and carpet quite new, the finishes were a little rough around the edges. Most importantly the bed was clean and 2 good nights sleep were had. As part of our Groupon deal the evening meal was from a limited menu. I say this as I am a fussy eater. If you like meat or fish with vegetables this is fine. I don’t, so the first night was disappointing. The second night there was mushroom stroganoff which was lovely. One suggestions I would make is for a pasta in a sauce or rice dish to be added to the menu in case meat/fish and vegetables is not someone’s choice, but that’s just me. The two breakfasts were plentiful and of good quality. My partner remarked the eggs were under a heat lamp that wasn’t working properly, so these were not as warm as the other offerings . Everything else was warm and thoroughly enjoyable. There was a full cooked English breakfast. Vegetarians, had options of eggs, baked beans, mushrooms, hash browns, tomatoes and toast. There was fruit, yoghurt, croissants and cereals too. The coffee from the machine was good. The service during all mealtimes was exceptional. We heard others ask for different eggs or more of certain items and these were cooked to order, quickly without question. The hotel is a little walk to the pier but definitely in a convenient position. If mobility is an issue, there are many blue badge parking spaces between the hotel and sea front/town. We used the spa facilities and both enjoyed our treatments. Again, the tables and blinds needed a wipe as were very dusty. Otherwise thoroughly enjoyable. I hope others give this hotel and spa a chance. The staff are amazing

Location nice on cliffs , looking over the sea. 25 mins walk to centre or pier. Hotel was quiet when we visited. Parked in hotel car park at £12 a day . Chilled and laid back atmosphere, maybe because it was not busy season. Outdoor pool looked nice, did not use this due to weather. Website states indoor pool but the pool is in hotel next door . Room was nice but needs an update and small jobs need completing like , screw holes in shower tiles left , where showers been moved and holes left from where different mirrors been hung .chipped wooden unit in bathroom and dust under unit. Some tiles need re grouting , not major things but it lets the room down. Bedroom plain white, no pictures or colour .
