“Charge guests to park on the on site car park... What!!”

No matter how good or indiferent this hotel is, being charged £10.50 per day to park on their car park is disgusting, no discount, sane for joe public, reception stated it was a public car park. No matter how good or indiferent this hotel is, being charged £10.50 per day to park on their car park is disgusting, no discount, sane for joe public, reception stated it was a public car park. Our 5 day stay cost £52.50 just to park the car... Yes, there is free on road parking a short walk away.. send joe public to them. Room rate was £47 + £10.99 for breakfast per day so car parking tainted the cheap room rate, just put the price up slightly and give customers discount, i mean real discount not what the premier inn website says " discounted car parking on site" the car park is public (receptions words not mine). Now gripe over on car parking. Food was usual good premier inn standard, the sausages at breakfast were so meaty, bacon was a little on the luke warm side as was the scrambled egg. The choice of ceriels, fruit, muffins and quasants were top notch. Unlimited tea and coffee was great, hot chocolate would be a good addition though. Staff everso friendly and helpful, even when i asked a million questions about how and when to pay for car parking as the machine outside was as clear as mud. Room was functional, cant complain at the price in a seaside town. No problem with facilities, aircon worked just fine at 19 degrees ( temp could be raides but not lowered by guests) Bus stop right outside for Poole £2.60 capped price each way and dame for Bournemouth pier if you didnt fancy the walk, i dont blame you... Pier to hotel was predominantly uphill. Bed was what premier inn is famous for, just devine, not devan. Would i stay again? Maybe not if i came by car or maybe if parking was discounted for guests... Better still, free

I stayed in this hotel for business in the area, a number of times through April, May and June. On three different occasions my room number was read out to me on check in, as a solo traveller this is a safeguarding risk. When I challenged the staff member on the first occasion I was invited to 'speak to my manager' about it. I have raised this with premier inn management who have said they will be looking into it. On no occasion was I asked at breakfast if I wanted boiled or poached eggs and wasn't sure this was still available. On my last stay, having checked the menu, at breakfast I asked for 2 poached eggs as the fried eggs were usually inedible. When the eggs didn't appear I asked a different memberof staff as I couldn't see the original person I'd asked. Still no eggs. I then asked again - the original staff member - he then brought the eggs to me - disgusting - the yolks and whites were separated, the yolks solid and the whites broken up. I wouldn't serve poached eggs like that to a visitor to my home let alone a paying guest. Staff shortages and poor training seem to be an issue.
