Even before we arrived here i had a feeling it was going to be a great stay, i had a query about my booking and after ringing up the staff on reception they sorted out my issue straight away, and emailed me quickly back to say as much. And then three days before arrival i got a call to go over my booking and make sure everthing was right, and if i needed anything in the room for when i got there, fabulous service. The hotel itself is great, very modern, nice cinema style seats and a big tv for watching sports etc. you can self check in if you want to, very easy check in. The room was great, massive tv, bed and huge shower, where the big highlights, comfy bed too. The pool on the lower floor of the hotel was also massive, with a hot tub, sauna and a cold plunge pool to name a few. Changing rooms where good, and a great padlock system for lockers to keep your belongings safe. The food was so good, we got fish and chips and a chicken burger, and cookie dough for dessert, and the food come quick to the table. The breakfast buffett was very tasty too and good things on offer, the toast machine was great, bread went down and was perfectally toasted first time which is not usually the cace in our experience of toast machines in hotels. The staff worked so hard, always busy, clearing tables and topping up food and drink and glasses etc. same can be said of the cleaners, always cleaning everywhere, the hotel was very clean. It was such good value for money too, we got two nights stay, parking, wifi, use of the gym and pool, breakfast for two nights and a £50 voucher for one evening for just over £200. We had a slight bit to pay off when leaving but this was written off as a good will gesture, it was a small amount and we where willing to pay, but the gesture of this really does give this hotel extra points on top of the already many points they had up until check out. This is the hotel i would stay in again when visiting coventry, but i would go one step further than that and say i would look out for this chain of hotels when booking in other citys, because it was of such a high standard. The staff our a big credit to this hotel, and along with all the amenities, make for a 5 star hotel in my opinion!.

Stated here while exhibiting at the Great British Farm Fest. I can honestly say that the staff went above and beyond whilst we were working a busy festival. Even when we made an error with an extra night booking, they went out of their way to sort it for us. A hot weekend for us, but they didn’t mind refreezing our cold packs to keep our cold-boxes chilled over the 4 night stay. The food was great, even given a takeaway and coffee when time was tight one morning. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Thanks to the whole Village Coventry Team! Great job!

Generally a good value for money hotel : Parking , WiFi , Comfortable Room , Gym ,Pool , steam Room. Bar with social ambience . Cinema style seating in front of large TV. The bar can be very noisy which should be considered if you’re planning a family meal. The revamped menu has lost some of its pub classics ( pies / Chilli ). The hotel cashing in on its lack of competition near it and in my opinion is now overpriced beyond acceptable as it has always been but now it’s beyond value for money. 24 pounds for a pork chop almost 20 for a burger. The pool is its attraction for staying guests with it well organised children’s times and adult only swimming. The rooms have comfortable beds and good walk in showers. The thing to consider is the weather : give it a miss in warmer weather as the windows barely open and there is no air conditioning. Fans don’t cut it with no ventilation. The bathrooms are not even ventilated. The tv channels are very basic . Freeview but nearly all not working due to “ weak signal”. I’m converlessing and wanted to chill with the tv but gave up on that. Lastly no in room fridge so any outside drinks / food cannot be preserved. There is a large Sainsbury’s very close and fast food outlets if that is your preference than paying high prices in the very noisy bar. Overall I keep returning to this hotel for its pool and convenience of being all under one roof but for its higher room charges and food etc it really should improve the rooms in regards to air conditioning or better ventilation and in room refrigerators it’s 2026. I get why because there marketing model Is to make money from the bar or the Starbucks. Everything is of course my opinion I’ve been staying at this and the Nottingham village which is identical for years . My advice would be consider what you want from this hotel if it’s not the pool facilities then stay in a premier Inn

“Nice hotel spoilt by noisy room”

This is a nice, reasonably priced hotel: well located, clean with a decent restaurant and bar and a good gym and pool which guests have the option to use. The room was comfortable, modern and clean, and I would have really enjoyed my stay if it wasn’t for its location. It seemed to be right above the function room and the volume of the music on the second night I was there was horrific. I tried to call reception at 12:30am but there was no answer so I went downstairs to speak to them. No apology was offered at this point and I was told it would be going on until 2am. I had to be up early for work the next day so slept with noise cancelling headphones in. The following day there was a wedding booked in. In the afternoon I again reported the issue with noise in my room to reception and asked what time it was likely to go on til. Again, no apology or offer to move me to an alternative room. I decided I didn’t want to try and sleep through that again so cut my losses and checked out a night early. This has clearly been an issue for other guests as, when I reported it and the staff asked what room it was, it was met with an “Ah, yes”. This room should not be used on nights when late functions are booked in. No chance of sleeping!
