Just returned from 6 days at St Michael’s with my husband and son. We originally booked 5 days but loved it so much we stayed an extra night. Absolutely loved it! We stayed in a family room with a sun deck. It was very spacious, lovely bathroom and the outdoor area was great for our 8 year old. There was a decent coffee machine with plenty of pods provided, comfy beds, soft towels and robes. There were a couple of minor housekeeping details missed but nothing to stop us going back and on the whole we were very happy with it. We spent the extra night in one of the spa lodges which was beautiful and we would definitely book again for that experience (note that children can’t use the spa itself but the lodge was still worth it for us). Breakfast was excellent every day. It does get busy as some reviewers suggest, but it wasn’t a problem and we liked the atmosphere. Ditto for Nourish, the more informal restaurant, where we had dinner twice. All the staff at breakfast, dinner and in the bar area were lovely and made us feel so welcome. Food was delicious every time and we found there was a good range for kids and grown up tastes. We were concerned about parking based on other reviews and it being peak season, but we had no trouble parking at the hotel. We would have happily used the public car park opposite if needed. The pool was lovely - very clean, accessible and staff were friendly. There are generous swim times for children in the mornings and afternoons, so they can play freely without interrupting people enjoying child-free holidays. The resort is well-balanced for both. We found the pool was pretty quiet between 4-5pm. We would definitely recommend St Michael’s for anyone looking for a family holiday in Falmouth. It’s perfectly located on the beach (though bring swim shoes as it’s pretty rocky in places); a short stroll into town; and a great spot for visiting Pendennis Castle and the maritime museum. “Spa was a great set up with the cold plunge next to the sauna”

“A really beautiful resort and spa experience”

We enjoyed the twilight spa which was an excellent package. The spa is the best I have been to, and I really appreciated it included a cold plunge pool, which not many spas do. Everything was clean, tidy and in good working order and it was quiet and peaceful. The outside area and view from the spa really made it special. There was a great range of spa facilities and I could have spent all day using the different pools, saunas, steam rooms and showers. The staff were kind and welcoming also, and the selection of drinks lovely. The meal we had in the restaurant after was also excellent, and enjoyable after a few hours relaxing. Perfect service and friendly conversation with the staff. We had a lovely view over the spa area and ocean. The food was really good quality with attention to detail, and the portions just the right size to try several of the range of dishes. We will definitely be back and plan to stay next time, highly recommend.

“Excellent spa/food/surroundings/service. Rooms lacking.”

The spa is fantastic. The service was also very good. The food is excellent. The beach is super. The rooms are very clean, but very dated and underwhelming. We stayed in a ‘luxury’ room which I wouldn’t describe as such. Having said this, we had a very nice stay.
