Lovely Valentines get away for 1 night. Warm welcome from friendly and professional younger member of staff. Beautiful decor in the lobby and well stocked bar. Side sea view and prosecco in the room. Comfortable bed, new carpets and curtains. Hot water and heating worked well. Smart TV with all the apps and complimentary tea, coffee, biscuits and toiletries. Amazing breakfast and member of staff who couldn't do enough for us. Plenty of fruit juices, toast, condiments, tea, coffee and full English 😋 👌 thank you for an awesome time and we will definitely be back 😀

We stayed at The Kensington as we were attending a funeral near by, we stayed in Room 28 very comfortable, I have limited mobility, and this room was perfect for me, the only thing I will say is as its right by the night door it was so noisy with both external and internal doors being slamed by other residence. The room is newly decorated, it was very clean with complimentary body wash, shampoo and soap, great big walk in shower, towels were fluffy white clean, not sure if the on suite was finished as it was very tatty with old towel rails holes in the wall were they had been removed, also a very very dirty shower tray/floor, brown looking in the water drain! And paint on the lino, all a bif off putting for showering. Breakfast was adequate, I had scrambled egg and toast, the eggs were almost white not that tasty, my husband had the cooked breakfast, again adequate, his sausage was the worst he had ever had so pale did not look like meat or a hot dog so he never ate it! The staff are not very friendly a young lady served at the reception, she looked so fed up! One word reply to any attempts to make conversation. But can make a lovely latte. The hotel is undergoing a a refurbishment. In summery it was adequate for £165 we paid for 2 nights stay a beautiful character hotel with some pretty views. Free parking, close to the waterfront and GREAT value for money.

Booked as a last minute get away for the night, pictures online looked hopeful for a night away. The location is perfect, beautiful views near the river and beach and a short walk into Yarmouth town. Breakfast was good and staff was very friendly. Onto the negatives… all the decor needs updating- walls had paint coming off, marks and stains on walls, carpets torn, stained etc. We stayed in a twin room on the top floor; the beds were like cardboard and felt like they were going to snap. There was a wardrobe in our room but we avoided using it as even opening the doors, cause it to nearly fall over. The shower presssure was basically on existent and the noise was not ideal- it was as if we were in the same room as the room next door, could hear them talking, moving, going to the toilet until early hours of the morning. The hotel could do with a good old refurb and some money spent on the facilities to make things a bit better quality. The pictures need updating on the site to match current state of the hotel.
