“Good hotel”

Good location with convenient bus / rail/ taxi to and from Heathrow airport. Nearby restaurants that are open late. Room okay and staff, especially Felanie, helpful. I would stay there again.

Stayed on the 3rd floor, the room itself was okay but quite dated - all furniture was dark brown wood, the TV was probably at least 12 years old, it did the job but looked very old. There was an ironing board in the room but no iron - no documentation in the room, so nothing about whether you had to hire an iron or about food offerings. The air conditioning did not cool the room, it was close to uncomfortably warm and it was only 12C outside. The food offering was indian buffet as far as I could tell, which we didn’t fancy. The website said “savour a variety of snacks and lounge meals from the bar menu” but when I asked at the bar I was given the impression I was ridiculous for asking as the restaurant is visible from there and they do not do food at the bar. Would recommend if you pay a fair price but don’t expect to be surprised by the accommodation.

This is basically a transit hotel. Stayed here for the rugby with friends mainly due to the location. We were greeted with a demand for proof of ID and a demand for payment for parking. Not what I'd classify as a nice welcome to a so called 4 star hotel!!!!!! The parking in the hotel is extremely limited!!!!!! It's on a first come first serve basis. You can see this as people literally try to fit there cars in any space they can. There is a pub across the road with a car park if you can't get in the hotel car park. I think that's payable also. The hotel and the rooms are clean and tidy but a bit tired. The room was fine but the double bed was the smallest double bed I've ever slept in, in my life!!!! Breakfast is very basic quality. The sausages were cheap hot dog sausages. I think the bacon still had a pulse. The only thing I'll say you can eat as much as you want but I wasn't tempted to go back for more. Overall not even remotely a 4 star hotel. More 2 to 3 star at best. The staff were civil not exactly friendly. I think the guy behind the reception desk seriously annoyed me with his demands when I arrived. He should not be working in hospitality. It really isn't his forte. As you can guess I won't be staying again.
