Stayed here twice this month and found the hotel to be in a great position as well as clean and comfortable. Rooms are well equipped have everything you need. Staff members we all encountered were all very approachable and professional. On our first stay, we were allocated a room over the bus stops and had an ok sleep but there was some noise from the road and an announcement system. We emailed the hotel before the second stay to request a quieter room. They replied and said they would do their best to accommodate but couldn’t guarantee. This request was granted and the room was unbelievably quiet which meant we had an even better sleep. Would highly recommended.

“Weekend with Friends”

Friendlies staff. Great hospitality in the bar area, attentive and efficient. Fabulous room 301,302,332 Clean rooms, great sleep. Lovely breakfast great choice. Good advice on things to do on Liverpool from front desk. Excellent location. 👍🌸🌸🌸

Tough review because its definitely coloured by the check in experience. I'll start with the cons and end with the pros! Upon arrival the guy who checked me in was mono-syllabic (if he spoke at all). No warm greeting, simply a search for last name then placed my keycard in a sealed envelope and handed it to me. Did not even tell me my room number (it was written on the envelope). There was none of the usual hotel spiel about 'breakfast is from 07:00 located on the first floor...' and no instruction about preauthorising your card if you wanted to charge anything to your room (my assumption as to why the room service on the QR code link they provide couldn't find my booking details). I don't think this was normal service (see later pro comments) but nevertheless, it was my experience. I was hoping to use the gym but noticing it was located opposite reception I did not want to go down and use it following the welcome. I did wonder if it was because I was a solo traveller on a sports package deal, potentially less profit for them? In the room only one of the lights worked, which I didn't find out until the middle of the night and I needed one. Again, I would have expected light checking to be part of making up the room? So whilst the above set me up badly, there are positives: - the location is great both for the train station and easy access to the city centre. If you're going to watch Everton then that's an easy 40 minute walk away too. - the guy welcoming guests for breakfast was great, very friendly and informative as if this was the first time he had explained where everything was when it was likely his 1,000th - the breakfast itself was lovely - the girl on checkout (Sunday around 16:00 if the hotel reads reviews) was very smiley and friendly So all in all for what I paid as part of the football package then the hotel was absolutely not worth it but it wouldn't deter me from returning if I booked separately at a better rate.
