My family and I had a wonderful stay in this historical and wonderfully furnished hotel. The room was spacious, the bathroom very high end and huge, and the service was impeccable. We especially appreciated the attentiveness and kindness of Kyle, who greeted us each morning at breakfast with a smile and a lovely chat. It made us feel both valued and welcomed. We will most definitely return!

“Best hotel experience for accessibility”

We stayed at the hotel for 2 days while visiting. What really stood out was the service – especially Antoni, the duty manager, who was incredibly kind and attentive. As we are deaf, he made sure our stay was safe and comfortable, even providing a vibration alert system in case of emergency. We’ve stayed in many hotels before and have never experienced this level of care and understanding. It’s a shame our stay was so short, but overall everything else – the location, atmosphere, and facilities – was excellent.

“Stunning, great staff”

Joe and May really made our trip. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with warm cookies and excellent service. They made it nice and easy for us too, we couldn’t have asked for better staff or a better stay. 10/10 - have recommended and will continue to!

We stayed for 3 nights for the Grand National Festival 2026 and although the building from the outside is very impressive, the rooms for the vastly inflated prices do not support this whatsoever. Our room on the 5th floor had a non existent heating system and Liverpool was freezing over the Grand National Festival, also a bathroom that had a swivel tap over the basin that was not supposed to be a swivel tap, and a bath panel that was 2 inches short of the lip of the bath? The staff are brilliant and cannot do enough for you but sadly they cannot do anything about the rooms or the hotels policies. This brings me onto Saturday night 11 April 2026 (Grand National Day)!! We went out for dinner after returning from Aintree and returned to our room at around 8.30pm and discovered a wedding reception going on in one of the function rooms on the 1st floor. We were on the 5th floor and it was really annoying after a tiring day to be kept awake for an hour and a half, by the constant thud, thud, thud coming from the function room 4 floors below!! Sadly, this hotel and location is not the greatest in the Hilton family and wont put us off staying with Hilton again, but it wont be this one!
