Stayed here for 3 nights whilst attending a concert. Even before we arrived the hotel rang us a few days before to double check everything with our reservation which i thought was nice. Upon arrival we were greeted and checked in very smoothly, shown the direction to our room and was told about the history of the buildings. The rooms were a decent size, very comfortable bed and pillow selection. Nice amenities too. Im a light sleeper and i couldnt hear much from outside, so i slept very well! They have nice tea and coffee making facilities in the room, they even offer the option of fresh milk for your teas and coffees if you contact reception, which is a lovely touch! And theres a small fridge too which was restocked daily with cans of still and sparkling water. We went to the bar a few times and service and staff were amazing each time, cocktails were lovely too! Anytime we were going to our room or out of the hotel the staff were opening doors for us, greeting us and always smiling, even all the house keeping staff wouldn’t walk past without saying hello or holding the door for you. It was always much appreciated. The area of the hotel is nice too, short walk into the main areas like Liverpool One and Albert Dock area. The area was safe and had convenience stores very close by also. Overall i would definitely stay here again and i would recommend this hotel to others. Again many thanks to all the staff for a wonderful stay.

I travel quite a bit for business and I have been fortunate enough to have stayed in Amans, Four Seasons, Ritz Carltons, Avanis, Sofitels etc, and I nearly never leave reviews. I only arrived last night but it is already clear that there is something really uniquely special about the Municipal. It is set in a stunning Victorian former council building which has been lovingly and painstakingly transformed into a beautiful hotel replete with period features and charm. The spaces are amazing. The service is just a different level - a combination of Liverpudlian charm and very high standards. They show everyone to their room, the hot food at breakfast is all al a carte and is excellent, little requests are always met. I didn’t love my first room so the excellent lady on reception just moved me to a different one immediately. The rooms are very comfortable and well appointed - I was out like a light. Great place.

From the moment we arrived at The Municipal Hotel & Spa in Liverpool, we felt genuinely welcomed, comfortable, and completely at ease. The hotel itself is beautiful, private, and wonderfully secluded. I especially loved that there are no obvious signs outside, so you would not immediately know it is a hotel and spa, which adds to the exclusive and peaceful atmosphere. The first person we interacted with was Mark, the doorman, and he immediately set the tone for the rest of our stay. He was more than happy to help with our bags, engage in friendly conversation, and make us feel welcome from the very beginning. He was also extremely knowledgeable about the surrounding area and always humble, kind, and attentive. Mark and his colleagues showed a level of commitment to guests that is truly unmatched. A huge shoutout also goes to the wonderful staff and ladies at the front desk, especially Charlotte, who remembered our names and room number throughout our stay. We were always greeted with a smile, patience, warmth, and excellent service. No request ever felt too small or too big. The staff at The Municipal are absolutely top notch. I also want to give a special mention to Vivien, our waitress, who was incredibly kind and polite and helped make our dining experience memorable. Another heartfelt thank you goes to Kate and Lili, who gave my significant other and me a wonderful spa experience. They truly helped us relax and made our anniversary celebration feel magical. All of these people, along with so many others I was not able to mention by name, made our impromptu anniversary stay at The Municipal an unforgettable experience. This hotel is exceptional, but the staff are what truly make it special.
