I will be the most real as possible with this review: People are OVER EXAGGERATING with their other reviews so here is how it really is: When you come in to the reception, you'll see a desk and a lovely sitting area - similar to a concierge but on a budget. My room was upstairs and I liked it since I enjoy looking out of a window from above. This hotel is located in Roman Road Market, E3 London which makes it ideal for me to travel to the places I need to. There are shops such as Tesco, Iceland, Poundland about 5 minutes by walk away and luckily they even have a fridge in the room which is a decent size! I checked in early by about an hour or half one, so I waited in the reception and my room was ready to move into earlier than the usual check-in time (which is 2pm) What I didn't like was the size of the keychain of the key, it was a bit too big which made the key fall off quite a lot. The room had hooks to hang coats, they provided towels, sheets, pillows, floor was clean too. However, the heater didn't work which I hope they take into consideration to fix as winter is on its way. I requested an en-suite and I got one! The bathroom was a little on the small size and not really ideal to have a shower since there aren't glass doors to seperate the shower from the toilet but I was okay with it as I don't mind. They also have a lovely garden downstairs at the back of the reception you are welcome to go and a nice bench as well. One thing I would recommend is for them to maybe throw away the broken sofa's and get new ones there to make it look more appealing. But all in all, it was a convenient place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, offered to clean my room, let me help myself to as much towels/toilet roll I needed. Don't expect luxury, that's as real as it gets. If you are someone who isn't picky and just needs a place to stay, this is for you! But if you want luxury and breakfast in bed, room service etc. Maybe go to Holiday Inn? In conclusion, would I return again? Yes. And to all the staff there at City View Hotel, thank you for your warm stay!

“Not worth £212 for one night”

Small room very basic, bed was comfy and bedding was crisp white and clean. The bathroom was musty and smelly, difficult to use as made me feel sick, they need to air it more or put fresher. Small room very basic, bed was comfy and bedding was crisp white and clean. The bathroom was musty and smelly, difficult to use as made me feel sick, they need to air it more or put fresher. Ok for an overnight but wouldn’t stay longer. Definitely not worth the £212 for the one night I stayed. And no parking as stated, the pay and display was £16:50 for 2 hours.
