The Euston Square hotel, is a great little place perched right above the underground station, conveniently located for transport links - Euston station, LUL, Tottenham Court Rd, Camden etc. - and on a busy thoroughfare. It's opposite UCH London (the hospital) and close to the HS2 construction work west of Euston station. All that said, the place is like an oasis of cool in a busy part of Bloomsbury. Check in process was smooth, and the staff were very polite and friendly. The automated check-in system doesn't always recognise a name, but the staff will take over easily. Rooms are small and petite, and not typically suitable for more than one person unless you've upgraded to a 'superior' (I haven't seen those, yet). But for business use - a comfy bed for the night, desk, TV, charge points, and a fantastic power shower, they are fine. The most welcome thing is the aircon - unlike Premier Inn Euston, Euston Square's aircon units actually work, critical during the current heatwave and enabling a much better sleep. Adjacent works can cause noise, so earplugs are a must but that's par for the course for hotels in the Bloomsbury/ Euston area. The restaurant is fantastic - food is coked fresh, and the grill is yards away and visible. I've stayed twice and had the chicken burger the first time, and the chicken schnitzel this week; both were superb and beautifully cooked, and fresh. Breakfast is a choice of continental, full English, omelettes, and other typical dishes. I had omelette this week - gorgeous, and with sourdough toast. The bar area at night time is really chilled out, and has a chic vibe to it. All in all, I've stayed in around half a dozen hotels in this area - this is the best, and the one I will come back to time and again.

“Good option for tourists, beware lack of storage space”

Had an enjoyable five night stay in June with a friend in one of the two twin bed rooms, facing the interior of the building, so very quiet, albeit a small space. Our room was ready for us when we arrived early, which was a huge bonus and very appreciated. We were here during a heatwave, so the air conditioning in the room was a true lifesaver. The "closet" was a wooden bar with four clothes hangers sticking straight out from the wall as you walk in the door. A note about our bathroom was that it was not well proportioned. The giant shower took of two thirds of the space and had no storage of any kind inside of it (it did have great water pressure though). The sink was a foot across at absolute most, with very little counter space to hold anything. The sliding door/wall was lightly frosted glass, but not all the way to the floor which was a little odd, so don't expect total privacy in there. Lastly, the electronics in our room weren't operating properly. One of the lamps by the bed had burnt out and the "suitepad" that controlled the TV never worked. We were able to plug an HDMI cable into it and watch our own shows though. For most of the requests we did make, the staff were very accommodating and attentive. The hotel is in a fantastic location for travel around London since it's so near to the Euston Square and Warren Street underground stations and many buy stops. Lots of food options and grocery stores within walking distance as well.

“Good location, dirty room”

Front of house staff were lovely. Cannot fault that part. Unfortunately the room smelled of damp and mould, I found the mould on the ceiling of the room and in the bathroom alongside a number of small brown beetles. Not the quality of room I expected for nearly £300 a night.
