I must admit I was a little apprehensive about this place due to previous reviews. But reading deeper into the reviews, it seems those that had the biggest problems were those that arrived outside normal hours, needed to change their booking etc. I needed an economical place to stay in London near Canada Water for one night, and refused to pay 380pounds per night for Hilton Docklands .. this turned out to be perfect. The property kept good communication throughout the booking process, including sending a list of daunting rules - but they were reasonable. First and foremost, I found the staff great. They contacted me via whatsapp and asked what time I would be arriving, and the guy manning the reception even waited for me to get from Heathrow where I rocked up at 18.30, the office was meant to close at 18. The room itself was as described albeit smaller than I expected. It was on the top floor, and very warm, but the person in reception had closed the blinds and put the fan on which is a nice touch. Getting up to the room up three flights of stairs with very dingy carpet with no elevator wouldn't suit all guests, but was fine for me. Functional small room that looked like it had been renovated recently - nice that they had chosen laminate floors, not carpet! There was a TV, small kitchenette, a working fridge and power outlets near the bad. No A/C but the fan was a godsend. I would say the bed wasn't the most comfortable with a lumpy mattress and what felt like a spring, but managed to sleep OK despite this and the heat. All the staff I encountered were friendly, they were even cool with when I got held up at my friends in Canada Water that I dropped off the key a bit later. For the price and the location I would recommend this property although I probably wouldn't bring my family here.

I stayed here for one night solo as I saw a show at the o2. Before check in I got a message asking to confirm my stay , I mentioned I had troubles with the £100 deposit for the night and they were very kind to waver this. They were sold out of atleast the same single budget rooms before arrival date. So check in took a little longer but I didn’t mind. The kind receptionist was working hard and shown every guest to their rooms. I liked the location of my room. I didn’t have any stairs, I didn’t have to treck through buildings. What first stood out to me was the nice rooftop window and how beautifully made the bed was made. It was clean and comfortable. The room its self was comfortable, the kettle had recently been descaled which isnt like many places I’ve stayed. I had more issues in the bathroom. The shower had shower gel up the wall in the shower (no photo as I only noticed when in the shower) it had orange soap scum round the bottom. The toilet was clean but the seat slightly broken. The sink had coffee round the drain. And the shower plug was grim. The toilet brush was past its sell by. The shower was easy to use. When I returned from the o2 I had some food to heat up so I went down the hall to use the microwave in the shared kitchen and that was not good. I didn’t eat that night. I have a photo of that. It’s a fire risk. Check out was simple, no staff in at the time I left so used the letter box. Short walk from the station, as a a female in her late 20s, I felt safe to and from the station it’s well lit. I would stay here again but eat out. I did call later on check out day to mention the above and the lady said she would pass on to house keeping .
