I was pleasantly surprised by my room (room 1). Great bed, two singles together which made a big bed (could do with mattress topper as the join was noticeable. Lovely little kitchen, and a small seating area with tv and sofa bed. The place was very clean, and surprisingly well equipped, even having a washing machine. There is a Tesco express about 3 mins walk away, and a very well stocked convenience store next door. Molly on reception was lovely. All in all a very comfortable stay, and we will be using whenever we visit Hither Green.

“Great base for a short London visit”

Stayed here with my husband and 18 month old son. The apartment was perfect for our needs, we really appreciated having a separate kitchen/living area. Stayed here with my husband and 18 month old son. The apartment was perfect for our needs, we really appreciated having a separate kitchen/living area. We also had a lovely terrace space. 5 minute walk to the train station and a 15 minute train to Charing Cross. Plenty of takeaways and shops within a 5-10 minute walk from the apartment. Would definitely use again!

“Nice apartments but local neighbourhood not so great.”

The aparment itself was clean and adequate for our needs. Our stay was for 6 days and we managed well. We had to use cabs during our visit and the cab drivers had a difficult time finding the hotel especially at night. The aparment itself was clean and adequate for our needs. Our stay was for 6 days and we managed well. We had to use cabs during our visit and the cab drivers had a difficult time finding the hotel especially at night. We were told by the drivers that the area was "dodgey." and not to go out at night. There was one night that yelling and screaming and threats came from an adjacent residence and kept us up most of the night. Our 8 year old was particularly scared. The staff were friendly but not greatly helpful when it came time to finding our way around the area. There was a grocery store next door which we found very useful. All in all I wouldn't go back.

Lyall Apartment Hotel is a good option only for small families or those with very young children, because it is a very small studio type apartment. The property is well maintained and very clean, and the kitchen well stocked with different utensils including those suited for Indian cooking, a toaster, kettle, oven and hairdryer as well as a washing machine. A supermarket next door ensures easy availability of groceries and other necessities, while the Hither Green Railway station is a short walk away, connecting Central London. Travel time to Central London could be anything from 30-40 mins on an average, taking into consideration tube station changes as well. On the flip side, the reception is only manned between 10am and 6 pm, and this poses problems for guests arriving earlier or later Moreover a late fee charge of 25GBP for late check-ins is levied, which is unfair because tourists cannot do anything about flight delays and immigration queues. The toilet is very clean, but also very tiny. No information booklets are placed in the room for the benefit of tourists giving information on trains, transport, eateries, taxi services and telephone calling cards. The property is also in a very quiet location where eateries close early and there is no traffic on the roads. As a result guests may feel uncomfortable walking alone on the road later in the night. The sofa cum bed is in the kitchen, and feels very cramped when there are more than 3 adults in the apartment. Ventilation is also not too good, and you will feel the lack of air circulation especially in summer.
