“Another Great Stay”

Another great experience. The food, service, views, and especially the staff were all incredible. The help for dinner suggestions and bookings were great.

Excellent hotel, great location, clean, comfortable beds, friendly staff and service, overall nice vibe. Would definitely stay again! Amazing view from the rooftop bar and restaurant.

Stayed for one night mid-week. Room service doesn't appear to be available (no mention at check-in), so we ventured up to Seabird for breakfast. Unbelievable setting, phenomenal views of the city. Staff seemed disappointed to be there and generally felt like as customers, we were an inconvenience to them by being there. Tables were sticky and staff were relaying them without wiping down. Given how much the group encourages sign up to their Disloyalty scheme, not once were we asked if we were members when using any of the F&B offerings - to secure the discount. We've always stayed at the Hoxton (not just Southwark) when staying in London and love the group in general but the service this time round really felt like it was missing the mark when the setting is so perfect.

Great location and a warm welcome when you arrive. The lobby area is vibey and fun with a calm atmosphere we found relaxing. Staff were friendly and super helpful. Room was well kitted out and very clean but very small for a so called "roomy" twin - little if any room to open a small carry on bag least of all for two. Beds were VERY soft too which is surprising since the other Hoxton hotels have invested well in excellent beds - these felt like substandard. We'd not booked breakfast but were directed to the the 14th floor (which is an incredible space) and before ordering anything at all was handed a bill for £56 for two not including a coffee (which was another £4). Wow! That's eye wateringly expensive even for London. Yes we could have stopped there and walked away but to not offer alternatives or even ask what we wanted to eat before being handed a bill is strange. We also had a business guest who'd already arrived and ordered so difficult to leave without eating too. Fortunately, the breakfast was very good with a great variety of everything you'd expect for £28 pp(!) albeit the truly dreadful (free) coffee in a flask more at home at a school camping event than a hotel. Even a coffee bag (as in the rooms) would have been an improvement. Presumably there to ensure you order a £4 coffee in addition? So, please, Hoxton Southwark, improve your coffee options for guests as this all just feel a bit cheap and money grabbing. While check out was very friendly, I've still not had receipts/ invoices emailed through 9 hours after checking out which given how great the email and Whatsapp communication had been throughout our stay doesn't leave the greatest taste in my mouth. Overall feel rather fleeced for a 1 night stay (without dinner).
