Holiday | Couple I have stayed in a few Radisson Hotels in the last year- this is by far the worst. Certainly not a 4 star hotel. To start with the positives - beds were clean and comfortable, good amount of plugs and mirrors in the rooms too. We were here to celebrate our anniversary for 3 nights at a cost of nearly £300. Before arrival, I called the hotel asking if they could put a ice bucket and wine glass in our room - I was told no, given no explanation and was made to go this myself on arrvial. The Radisson in Liverpool has no issue doing this for us previously. The Gentleman on the phone had poor customer service. I had booked a standard room with city view and a bathtub as this was the photo that was shown to me upon booking. I was let into the room which has the most lackluster city view ever, a shower not a bath, a dirty fridge, sweet wrappers from a previous guest on the desk and dirty tea spoons. Upon complaint, we were moved into a family room, with a bath, given access to the spa that day and free drinks vouchers. This was much better! On the website, and one of the perks I have found with other Radisson's is the room service. IT DOES NOT EXIST HERE. You cannot get room service, only click and collect. When I tried to order extra tea and milk off the app no one came ethier. It is a completely false claim of room service on the website if the services are not brought to your room. The hotel is also the loudest hotel I've ever stayed in, I understand this cannot be helped to a degree but it is unbearable to sleep in without the addition of earplugs. The spa requires pre booking and the times lots are different then expected, we did not end up using this facility as a result. We did not book breakfast so I cannot comment on this. I leave with the feeling that it was a waste on money and no care or attention was done to make our trip feel special, the room move was appreciated but was not an upgrade as I would've expected given our previous issues, the drinks vouchers were a nice touch but the spa voucher was only dated for that day, we arrived at 6pm and given the timings this was then useless. Staff could use with retraining in customer service and smiling! I should have asked for a partial refund, it has certainly dampened like of Radisson Hotels, I will not be returning to this one.

Stayed here 3 nights with wife and daughter, the room was clean, disappointing it had no bath which wasn't made clear when booking, but no real complaints with room otherwise. staff all seemed friendly enough, we were going to get dinner here during the stay but after breakfast on the first day decided not to. Not a great deal of choice at breakfast, the bacon had more fat than meat, sausages were not cooked properly and the cereal and fruit/bread had flies landing on them. I have never stayed anywhere with so many flies around the breakfast area and landing on the food etc so much. After this experience we decided against dinner at the hotel, would be unlikely to stay here again, which is a shame as the room was fine and staff friendly enough, just badly let down by quality of food and hygiene around breakfast area.

The hotel is modern, clean and well maintained. The female receptionist who later assisted us was excellent—friendly, helpful and happy to resolve our room issue by finding us a room with a bath. The car park opposite the hotel also felt safe and secure. Despite its name, I don’t feel this hotel is truly in Manchester city centre. It’s closer to the AO Arena and borders Salford, so the location wasn’t what I expected. Although the hotel looks impressive, I found the overall atmosphere quite cold and clinical rather than warm and welcoming. My check-in experience was disappointing. The young man on reception came across as abrupt, and both my daughter and I noticed a marked difference in his manner compared with the guest he had checked in immediately before us. He was warm, engaging and chatty with them, but noticeably less welcoming towards us, which left an uncomfortable first impression. I had requested a particular room view shown on the website but was told it didn’t exist. I had also specifically requested a bath when booking but was initially allocated a shower room. Thankfully, this was resolved by the female receptionist. The replacement room was still disappointing. It was cold and overlooked a multi-storey car park, which certainly wasn’t the view I had hoped for. The hotel’s “net zero” concept also seemed to come at the expense of warmth and comfort, with the overall feel being rather minimal and lacking character. The off-site car park is safe, but the spaces are narrow and may be challenging for larger vehicles. Overall, I didn’t feel the experience justified the price. Having stayed in several other Manchester hotels, this is not one I would choose again or recommend. A modern hotel with potential, but disappointing service, an uninspiring atmosphere and poor value for money mean I wouldn’t return.
