“A 'must visit' gem of Mevagissey”

Visited today under the new management. Blown away to say the least. Welcomed with friendly smiles and conversation by Alex and Noah. They have created the perfect environment to accommodate everyone. Little nooks to cosy away in or up at the bar for socialising and conversation. The food was outst… more

“Ship ahoy!”

Just had an amazing meal. We both chose the fish pie, it was excellent. Huge chunks of fish, plenty of prawns and a very tasty sauce. The Cornish Best bitter was dangerously drinkable too. Staff are welcoming, friendly and very helpful. What's not to like?

“Great staff, fabulous food.”

“older and quirky pub”

Enjoyed a two night stay at the Ship Inn. It's an old pub with a few rooms. I was worried at first as my room was on the third floor in the middle of a heat wave, but both nights I came back after sunset after full days of exploration and the room had cooled down and I slept really well. I found t… more

“Good enough for a night.”

I’d read some horror reviews of the accommodation here, but it wasn’t as bad as they made out! Certainly not the highlight of our trip, but good enough for our needs. We stayed just one night whilst walking the South West Coast Path with the dog. The room was spacious and the staff were all ver… more

They have created the perfect environment to accommodate everyone. Little nooks to cosy away in or up at the bar for socialising and conversation. The food was outstandingly tasty and a portion size that will fill your belly for the rest of the day. I highly recommend the Piggy Blinder burger topped with in house made BBQ pulled pork. All very reasonable priced in comparison. A traditional pub with plenty of charm and character. The accommodation was just as charming, again traditional, cosy, clean and welcoming. Also the perfect hint of a few modern touches to provide a very comfortable stay indeed. We can't wait to visit again. Thank you Noah and Alex for such a faultless 1st time experience as one of your guests. We wish you every success with your venture and will be seeing you again very soon.
