I make a point of stopping here if my flight I to LHR is getting in too late to get home. I actually don't do this as I like to visit different places however this superb hotel is just too good to miss! Staff are always super helpful, and pleasant. I was running late this time, and I as they were pleased I gad made it in time before the kitchen closed. Great food again, well cooked and well presented. Decent house red and attentive happy service both on reception and restaurant staff...thank you. Room cosy, warm, comfy with good facilities and a nice shower.

We had a truly fabulous experience at this hotel for a beautiful family Christmas. The staff were absolutely outstanding and made our stay an exceptional one! I particularly need to mention the amazing staff that made it such an exceptional experience by dedicating their Christmas to making sure the guests had a wonderful time. Summer’s kindness and support in the restaurant was really outstanding! Max the Deputy Manager and Kai in the restaurant were both truly fabulous too! We also had wonderful experiences from Kieron the Duty Manager and Toni, Jade & Charlotte in the restaurant. These wonderful people made our stay worth every penny, by always going above and beyond, to make this a lovely life-long memory! They all worked so hard and were polite, respectful, kind and happy to respond to any queries or issues. They each made our stay a very special one! The food was truly outstanding and of a really fabulous quality. The kitchen staff worked tirelessly behind the scenes all Christmas and delivered exceptional food every time. We were completely stuffed to the brim on every day of our stay! The high quality of the food and the beautiful presentation made our Christmas so easy going, so stress free and so positive! There were a few aspects of our stay that could definitely be improved. Although the rooms were clean, the carpets were very stained, the wallpaper peeling off, the toilet brush rusty. These definitely need updating. I was informed that the flooring is going to be updated, hopefully before our next stay, as it didn’t look great. I would have given a five star rating review, had these issues not been so obvious. However, none of this was the fault of the amazingly fabulous staff! I think the pricing could also be clearer, as there were very high service charges added to our final check out costs, that were unexpected, as we had paid in advance or on the day for everything we ate or drunk. Overall, it was a genuinely fabulous experience and we would definitely recommend this place to others and return ourselves, as soon as the flooring is updated in the carpeted rooms.

“Excellent reception staff, appalling barstaff”

The reception staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The room was adequate. Unfortunately we were not told that it was necessary to place the card on the door for the room to be serviced. The reception staff were excellent, very friendly and helpful. The room was adequate. Unfortunately we were not told that it was necessary to place the card on the door for the room to be serviced. We have never encounterted this before and as a result our room was not serviced. Overall everything was OK, not exceptional, but absolutely fine. The barman on the Saturday night was however appalling. We were remiss in only remembering that we did not have water in the room a minute or two after the last bell had sounded. The tall barman who had not in any case been very friendly reacted extremely badly, very rude and aggresive. We have never encountered behavour like it before.

The rooms are comfortable and well looked after. We didn’t have any hot water for the duration of our stay so couldn’t shower. The rooms are comfortable and well looked after. We didn’t have any hot water for the duration of our stay so couldn’t shower. It looked like someone had forgotten to switch on the boiler for the room in which were we staying. The staff tried hard to sort it out but were unable to before our departure. We also had to miss breakfast as it is not served until 8am on a Sunday and we had to leave at 7.30. I did mention our early check out when I booked but the later breakfast time was not highlighted. I have since emailed and requested a partial refund but 48 hours later and I am yet to receive a response. The response rate was unsurprisingly much quicker during the booking process. A disappointing stay.
