Went to a gig as a couple. Despite the reviews it was honestly fine, it's not amazing by any means but then again it's not priced as an amazing place to stay. I wouldn't want to stay there as an apartment but as somewhere to sleep it was fine. I'll caviat my review by saying I used spare nectar points to pay for it so only cost me £13 out my own pocket. For their advertised price I'd only stay here if there was nothing else available from the named places like Premier Inn etc. Worth remembering that it's not a hotel as such, more of the sort of apartment that people travelling for work would book for a week etc so you don't get alot of the things you'd normally get with a hotel like breakfast, coffee or even any staff after 6! The Good - Everything was clean enough although things a bit tatty and tired - Good location for walking along the quayside to the City Hall etc - Slept through the night with no problems - Washing machine, Dishwashed, Fridge, Freezer, Toaster etc all looked fine although didn't use them. Dishwasher tablets, soap, washing up liquid etc all provided. - Shower was fine although no bath mat so was a bit slippy! The Bad - As others have said the receptionist leaves at 6pm Mon-Thursday so it's not 24/7 as advertised. This is only on Friday and Saturday. We arrived just as he was leaving and I don't know what we would have done had nobody been there - It's entirely unstaffed overnight so forget ringing reception to ask for anything, there's literally nobody about - The TV remote had no batteries and no physical buttons so wouldn't turn on. Not an issue for me, but you'd think it would be on a checklist when they're cleaning - It smelled a bit stale and musty but couldn't really open the windows as our room was directly backing onto the car park at ground level so anyone could have gotten in Overall Fine, adiquet and decent enough. Certainly not as dreadful as the reviews made it out to be. Imagine university halls of residence and you get the idea.

The images and description are deceiving, shows the apartment to be immaculate and well presented, unfortunately it's not the case, as it needs a lot of repairs and 2 that are dangerous the cracked tiles on the bath and floor sticks out and nearly sliced my ankle, the sorting room fore door the handles are coming off so 9 had to wedge it open with a chair, badly plastered hallways, screws pierced through broken cupboard door, huge tears of fabric missing from sofa, Paint all over the arm, spring stick's up ya backside while sitting, huge chips with sharp edges on kitchen bench, tv didn't work properly and didn't have what was described, basic kitchen utensils and dining sets etc, fully iced frozen freezer clearly someone left door open, scalding hot water I can't touch, the cost per night for 2 nights is ridiculous on comparison to very close by high-end well known hotels, only good thing about the apartment was the layout, it was roomy amd the actual balcony with the views over the Tyne. Shame as could be completely different with a little care and money to correct it.
