I came here on the 25th of March to celebrate my birthday, and it turned out to be such a lovely experience from start to finish. My best friend treated me to a back massage with Jorgia, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for better. She was incredibly warm, welcoming, and genuinely made me feel at ease the moment I arrived. The massage itself was fantastic—Jorgia is very talented at what she does. She paid great attention to detail, really listened to what I needed, and made sure I was comfortable throughout. I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and so much lighter than when I walked in. The only downside was that I wish the session had been longer because it was just that good! Time flew by, and I could have happily stayed there all day. Jorgia was truly a breath of fresh air, and her positive energy made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The swim experience was absolutely amazing and definitely one of the highlights of my visit. The pools were incredible—beautifully designed, spacious, and just such a relaxing environment to spend time in. Everything felt really well thought out, and it made the whole experience feel special and a bit luxurious. That said, the outdoor hot tub area was quite crowded during my visit, with the same group of people staying in there for a long time (definitely longer than twenty minutes). It did make it a bit difficult for others to have a chance to enjoy it, which was a little disappointing. I feel like this could have been managed a bit better to ensure everyone gets a fair opportunity to use all the facilities. The only other downside I would mention was the experience at reception. We had travelled all the way from Wales specifically to visit this spa, so we were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, we arrived about five minutes late and the interaction didn’t feel particularly welcoming. It came across as though we were a bit of an inconvenience, which was a shame given the effort we’d made to get there. A slightly warmer or more understanding approach would have made a big difference, especially after such a long journey. It didn’t ruin the visit, but it did take away a little from what was otherwise a really enjoyable experience.

We try to visit The Headland when we can as it's only about 30 miles from us. Its already been our 2nd stay this year, the 1st being for my birthday in Jan. Myself and my husband love it here and its our little retreat away from the stress of work. We love staying in the Cosy Rooms. They are a great size with huge comfy beds and as we live by the sea, the view isn't really an issue when picking a room. For comfort, these are fantastic and beautiful rooms. We have just stayed for 2nts and again, when arriving, we are greates with a "welcome back" by the great reception staff. The Aqua Spa is so relaxing and so is the Spa in the main hotel, the relaxation room is such a tranquil area to distress and just let everything float away. My favourite part is they do my favourite Tattinger champagne by the glass and I love nothing more than just reading my book with a glass (or two!) Of bubbles. The staff can never do too much and so friendly. Unfortunately on this occasion, we had a sleepless night on the second night. There was some scaffolding directly outside our inside window and the wind was howling through. A part of the scaffolding board wasn't fixed properly so just banged constantly throughout the night. The following morning, it was sorted no problem. Apologised straight away, aware of the issue, had it fixed by 8am and offered us some compensation straight away. This is what I love about this place, it's about the customers and nothing is too much and anybissues are resolved quickly and professionally. I love this place and will be back again very soon.

“Beautiful Cornish getaway.”

Wonderful break away at the Headland Hotel. Would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing stay. Service was impeccable, the staff were very friendly, kind and accommodating for us. Wonderful break away at the Headland Hotel. Would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing stay. Service was impeccable, the staff were very friendly, kind and accommodating for us. The Spa and Aqua Club are a highlight. Great value for money as you get use of the facilities being a hotel guest. Breakfast every morning has a stunning view and a great variety of breakfast items. My partner has many food intolerances and he was catered for really well. We would definitely return next year.

I’ve visited the Headland off and on over many years but this was the first time since it was refurbished. And wow. The Headland does not disappoint. Everything from reception on arrival, to the quality of the room, to the delicious food through to the spa experience was everything a 5 star hotel should be. And what stood out was the friendliness of all the staff. Obviously the location completes the picture. We were blessed with stormy seas which is exactly what we wanted during a March visit. Thank you to all at The Headland, we will be back.
