Another lovely break at our favourite UK hotel. It was so lovely to be remembered by the staff and greeted by name .Our room was beautiful ,the food excellent and the service exemplary - Emma,Dan and Phil in RenMor deserve a special mention for their friendly and efficient attention ,they made us feel like valued friends. The only slight drawback ( and the hotel can’t do anything about this!) was the extreme heat during our stay,though who ever thought we would be complaining about that in England ?! Full marks again - we will be back,The Headland never disappoints!

“5 star family hotel”

Never fail to have a great meal in their restaurants overlooking the Atlantic sunset. Pick the room with a view. Relaxed friendly staff. Clean. Not cheap but worth it. Booked for Xmas. Happy days.

Anyone familiar with Cornwall knows that truly luxurious hotels are hard to find. There are only a handful of high-end properties, and none are genuinely comparable to top international five-star hotels. In that context, The Headland is by far the best option, even though it does not quite meet the standards one would normally expect from a true five-star property. The hotel enjoys a beautiful location, the rooms are tastefully designed and recently refurbished, and the bathrooms are spacious and elegantly appointed. The culinary offering is another highlight. Not only is the Michelin-starred restaurant outstanding, but the main restaurant also serves excellent food and is well worth a visit. The greatest asset of the hotel, however, is its staff. Every member of the team we encountered was exceptionally friendly, attentive, professional, and genuinely committed to providing excellent service. There is, unfortunately, one major drawback—and it is significant enough to overshadow an otherwise excellent stay. During periods of hot weather, the rooms become unbearably warm. None of the rooms are air-conditioned, and for regulatory reasons the windows can only be opened slightly. As a result, the heat accumulates inside the rooms to an almost intolerable degree, making them feel more like a sauna than a luxury hotel room. Although the hotel provides fans, they offer only minimal relief. The excessive heat had such a negative impact on our stay that we decided to cut our holiday short and leave several days earlier than planned. If The Headland truly aspires to compete with leading five-star hotels, addressing this issue should be an absolute priority. Overall, I would still recommend the hotel without hesitation for most of the year. However, during the summer—especially in a heatwave—I would advise looking elsewhere unless effective room cooling is introduced.
