We went here for a spa day with the girls to celebrate some of our 30th birthdays and it was lovely! We all enjoyed the time in the spa and the treatments we received! Shout out to Katie K and Sian who made me and my sisters first massage experience a very relaxing and enjoyable one- thank you!

I found this hotel and spa after days of scouring the internet for somewhere to take my husband for his birthday and I was definitely not disappointed with my choice of booking this place to stay overnight. The deal online for the spa room , dinner, breakfast , free cocktail and use of spa facilities seemed too good to be true and I honestly was waiting for the ‘catch’ throughout our stay as the saying goes if something seems to good to be true … But this couldn’t be further from the truth . On arrival the hotel and grounds were spectacular and we were greeting by very helpful smiley reception staff . We eventually found our room through the maze of corridors which I think gives it its charm. (My fault we got lost as I got the room number wrong 😅 for future reference room 402 does not exist 😂🙈) We stayed in room 420 which is a gorgeous room and way above what I expected for the price we paid. We went down for dinner and got our free cocktail from the bar beforehand which was really nice. We honestly expected food to be of lower quality being on the deal (think I was still waiting for the catch ) but this wasnt the case it was delicious very tasty and well presented (hats off the the chefs ) I had the chicken wing starter and gnocchi ragu and husband had french onion soup and the curry . The staff in the restaurant were all really friendly and helpful. The bar area is very cosy and inviting and we were very surprised at how busy the hotel was on a Monday evening which shows it’s a popular place to go. The drinks prices are what you expect at a hotel. I decorated the hotel room for the romantic feel for husband’s birthday which made it an even more special stay. We slept really well the bed was comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was a buffet style with plenty of choice. Food was tasty and again the staff were welcoming and friendly. We took opportunity to have a wander round the grounds ,hotel and spa after breakfast . The spa /bar area was beautifully decorated. The only thing we could say bad about our stay is that one night is definitely not long enough to enjoy all that’s available here. When we next visit we will definitely be staying for two nights so we can make the most of the spa facilities . We did arrive later at the hotel so it’s our fault we didn’t get time to use the spa earlier on. If you have read the bad reviews on here please don’t let them put you off from staying at this beautiful hotel! As we didn’t experience anything but perfection. Thank you for a wonderful stay x

Prior to our stay I received 2 emails offering upgrades on our stay, which I was very appreciative of. The staff were incredible from check-in to check out. Very friendly and gave us great advice on locating the spa and 1744 restaurant, as well as explaining we could change for the spa in our room or use the changing facilities available. I found this very useful, as we had not attended Redworth Hall before and were unsure of how the spa functioned. I booked the birthday package for my partner’s 21st birthday and was not disappointed. He was greeted with a happy birthday upon arrival and our room was decorated with banners, a card, prosecco and some treats. Our room was exceptional, very clean and lovely decor. The spa facilities were lovely. The pool was lovely and the seats were comfortable. We had dinner in the 1744 restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the food. I am a picky eater and found that there were lots of options on the menu to suit everyone’s taste and needs. We then had a few cocktails in the bar which were exceptional. We would 100% recommend Redworth Hall to everyone and will be returning!

“Great for dog owners, not so much for families”

Arriving at the hotel you cannot help but be impressed by the building and its location amongst trees and woodland. The car park is off to the side and a 2 minute walk from the front. Arriving in reception we were greeted by what must have been 5 dogs and their respective owners. Gods all sniffing at our luggage and licking our legs wasn't the best welcome (unless you like that). The owners were oblivious and the staff weren't' too keen to hurry things on and restore order. Once we got to check in, it was simple, care free and took all of about a minute. Very impressed walking through the hotel and its many corridors and levels (lifts are available for those less inclined). We had booked a family room which was on the top floor (apparently they all are.... which is fine). We had specially requested (if available) a family room with some privacy from the teenage children as they were not happy about one big room. The staff must have seen the message as we received what was effectively a two bedroom suite (but without doors... hence the family room). With loft style windows and lovely views it was very well received by us and our children. The shower pressure was a bit low and the toilet took a couple of flushes (this is just an advisory, not a complaint. I never raised it with the staff so I don't feel IO have the right to complain now, so am just mentioning) We then went down to the pool. Family time is 15.30-17.30 and were pleased to see other families enjoying the facilities. It was Easter Holidays so to be expected, although it didn't stop what I assume were members or regulars from moaning right in front of us about the noise and children. We had some fun throwing a ball between ourselves and using the jacuzzi, sauna etc. We went out for tea so can't comment on evening meal but came back for a drink in the bar and game of uno. The only complaint was a gentleman who seem to like swearing in every sentence he used. We looked to the bar staff but they gave us a look of "hey, what can we do??".... not very good. In the morning my son and I decided to use the pool again before breakfast. Family time in the pool is from 08:00-10:00 each morning. My son and I played the same ball game we played the day before but this time a male staff member came and told us that balls weren't allowed in the pool. He then waited for me to put the ball on a chair at the side before he left us. I decided to raise this after our swim as it had put a slight dampener (no pun intended) on our morning. I spoke to a female assistant when leaving the pool area as there were no signs about no balls, other families were playing them the day before and I thought it was a bit overkill. She was no aware of a no ball rule and at this time the male staff member re appeared. I asked him where the sign was and he took us round a corner as if to show us, but once round the corner he stopped (never showed us a sign) and said that he hadn't said balls weren't allowed (??). I politely challenged this assertion and reminded him that he had waited for us to remove the ball from the pool before leaving us alone. Rather pathetic. We then had breakfast in what I assume was the restaurant. The food, setting and staff were all lovely. Unfortunately the dog society had returned. Whilst they were sat outside the restaurant itself, one of the owners came up to the drinks machine in the restaurant where we pour orange juice. She then put a saliva covered dog bowl on the machine and pressed the button to pour water in. I looked over to the staff member who shrugged back to me as if to say "hey...what can we do??". Must be in one of the training videos when staff start working here given the consistency from the night before. All in all, lovely building, setting, food etc. If you're a dog owner then straight to the VIP lounge but if you're a family then be prepared to make some sacrifices.
