Nice welcome by a friendly chap. Loaned me an iron and ironing board . Parking outside of apartment. Clean beds. Cute bar.sells caffreys and desperado. Watched police interceptors on the TV really interesting show highlighting the north east culture. I let my friend sleep in the double bed as he only has a single at home and I thought it would be a nice little treat for him. I heard a strange whizzing noise coming from (I thought) the next room . For a moment I thought Jeff darmer had moved in but as it turned out it was the gardener outside cleaning up the leaves. If you get in late there's a door open round the side so you don't need to climb the wall. Only negatives .. There was a bit of dusting that could have been done but it didn't kill us off and there was a sharp edge on the kitchen worktop my friend snagged his briefs on this but fortunately didn't break the skin underneath. We didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on this , we had 2 packets of crisps from the vending machine, no problems with these. Walkers cheese and onion. The quality of the fixtures and fittings is reflected in the price. Taxi into town approx 8£. Apart from the one we got early hours Sunday morning which was a hefty £18.67. Served us right, we couldn't pull ourselves away from watching a violent altercation in a pub called The Black Garter. The proprietor advised us we really should not have ventured here. The strange thing is this pub has an outstanding rating on trip advisor so go figure. Id stay at the Clifton again . Next time I would take some milk and t bags. There's soap and shower gel supplied.

We had read the previous reviews,so were prepared with a travel kettle, take cups etc,from reception as you check in. Room was very basic, blinds on window kept no light out in the morning, the coat hooks were being the wardrobe, shower leaked, floorboards loose and in desperate need of repair, be… more

We had read the previous reviews,so were prepared with a travel kettle, take cups etc,from reception as you check in. Room was very basic, blinds on window kept no light out in the morning, the coat hooks were being the wardrobe, shower leaked, floorboards loose and in desperate need of repair, bed was under the eaves, no head space to sit up,and possiblity of concussion if you sat up in the night,😔so turned the pillows round and slept the other end, it served its purpose as were at a wedding nearby, but would not recommend unless your just wanting to get your head down.
