“Good value for money”

Stayed in the newer block of the hotel. Clean room, comfy bed. Paid for one of the rooms with a sea view. Fridge in room useful. Large walk in shower. Short walk into town, bus stop outside hotel and a short walk to the railway station.

Stayed in Room 611 forv4 nights. Nice, clean room. Had hair dryer, ironing board as well as combined showel gel/shampoo. And t.v. with Freeview Negatives - Wifi, in the room, was very intermittent and often did not work. - Also everytime you sat on the toilet, the floorboards around it squeaked really loudly so a bit of a pain especially, if using in the middle of the night as got woken up a fair bit. - No fresh air in the room. The vents over the window do notvwork and you cannot open the window. You should be able to open a window as long as there is a safety lock ensuring you cannot open it more than 2 inche gap. You can do that in Room 604 so why can't you in Room 611??? - Dirty mugs at breakfast. Positives - Helpful and friendly staff. - Bar prices very reasonable. - good location and easy to catch bus to Brixham - good value cooked breakfast.

“We won’t be returning”

I’ve stayed at several Premier Inns, and this one was the worst. It is looking so tired and needs some serious TLC. The room - the family room was smaller than the Exmouth family room. The bathroom door didn’t shut properly and the bathroom door had a huge chunk missing out of it at the bottom so you had to be careful with bare feet. The flooring in the room was dusty with a couple of dead insects, the ceiling had black mould on it, the toilet flush didn’t work very well. In the room, the carpet was very old and tired and dusty under the bed and around the edges. There was a stain on my daughter’s bed. There were scuff marks all over the walls. The window felt dirty when you run your hand over it. Overall, the room smelt, so we left the window open for both of our nights. Beefeater restaurant for breakfast - I’ve never seen a restaurant so dirty. Dirt all round the edges of the carpets, dirty and dusty wooden blinds, rotten and dirty windows. Tables were sticky and dirt all round the table number on the table top. The carpets were fulll of crumbs - perhaps their hoover was broken or old like everything else. When I went to select my plate for breakfast, I had to try several plates to find a clean one. Looking into the kitchen turned my stomach, with dirt all round the edges of things, fat splashed on the sides of the serving area as if it had ben there for a while. The selection of food felt like slim pickings with only berries and no other fresh fruit. Both times I went up to eat at the continental breakfast, there was hardly anything to choose from and basics hadn’t been replenished. It feels like there are not enough staff in this hotel to keep it running in the way it needs. I won’t be returning and it has made me think twice about ever returning to a Premier Inn.

“In need of uplift!”

Hotel along with bar and restaurant is tired. All require refurbishment especially in public areas. Rooms are OK but need redecorating. Stayed here a couple of years ago and it's down graded since then.
