Fantastic value for money ! Easy check in with friendly polite staff , our room was lovely & clean with tea/ coffee making facilities , iron & board , hairdryer , toiletries in the bathroom , pretty much everything we needed. Fantastic value for money ! Easy check in with friendly polite staff , our room was lovely & clean with tea/ coffee making facilities , iron & board , hairdryer , toiletries in the bathroom , pretty much everything we needed. We ate in the restaurant which was really nice & well priced . The only downside was there wasn’t a lift to our room , but overall this was a great place to stay and I would definitely stay again !

Thoroughly enjoyable one night break for the princely sum of £99 for two ! This included use of the leisure facilities dinner bed and breakfast and a bottle of Prosecco . Thoroughly enjoyable one night break for the princely sum of £99 for two ! This included use of the leisure facilities dinner bed and breakfast and a bottle of Prosecco . Parking for the night was also free . We’ve stayed in a number of Britannia hotels but this is arguably one of the best ! Well presented and clean in all areas ! We particularly enjoyed people watching due to the beat proximity to Manchester airport and all the hustle and bustle !

“Comfortable for a night”

I chose this airport hotel for its “convenient proximity” to the terminal—a phrase which, I’ve since learned, is hospitality code for “you may as well check in on the runway itself.” To be fair, they weren’t lying. The airport is indeed very close. In fact, I’m reasonably certain Gate 12 is closer to my bed than the bathroom. Watching planes take off from my window was a lovely touch, assuming one enjoys their tea with a side of mild existential dread and 200 decibels of jet engine. The room itself was comfortable, in the same way a tent pitched beside a motorway might be described as “well-ventilated.” The windows, bravely single-glazed, provided an immersive audio experience. Why settle for silence when you can feel each aircraft departure ripple through your bones like a motivational speech from a particularly aggressive drum? Sleep was… aspirational. I managed several brief naps in the intervals between takeoffs, which occur roughly every 45 seconds—perfect for anyone training for polyphasic sleep or life as a startled meerkat. On the plus side, there’s no need for an alarm clock. Your 5:00 a.m. wake-up call arrives naturally in the form of a fully loaded long-haul flight achieving liftoff just outside your pillow. In summary, if you’ve ever thought, “I wish I could experience aviation, but from beneath it,” this hotel delivers beyond expectations. For everyone else, I recommend earplugs, noise-cancelling headphones, and perhaps a reconsideration of what “near the airport” really means.
