“A little gem”
Such a beautiful venue with excellent service and incredible food. The afternoon tea special was reasonably priced, delicious and very filling. Highly recommend and can't wait to go back and stay next time.

“Lovely stay, friendly staff”
We were greeted warmly by reception, offered a tipple and made to feel welcome from the moment we checked in. All the staff were very friendly and professional. The food at breakfast and dinner was exceptional, as was the alternative afternoon tea. Would definitely recommend the hotel to others.

“Return visit”
We’ve visited The Wild Boar a few times but haven’t been since 2019. We had the Overmillbeck suite (our usual go to) as it’s at the back of the property so has no footfall noise. “Overall a nice stay at The Wild Boar”
Room was lovely and spacious only thing that let it down was the cleanliness of the bathroom! Food and service was excellent. Not the best location if you are wanting to stay closer to Bowness or Windermere.
