I am very pleased to write this review and with my choice of venue. I was toying with an idea to arrange a surprise secret birthday celebration for my wife of which one of the possibilities was The Mount Country Manor Hotel. I contacted them by phone initially and spoke to Jo Fenn, their Sales and Event Coordinator explaining my request, Jo was very helpful took some notes and after checking the date for the occasion was available, we arranged a meeting at the hotel a few days later to discuss details further. When I arrived Jo welcomed me with a smile and we sat down with a coffee, impressively she had already prepared and few ideas and a plan to show me with some options for the occasion in some impeccable useful detail, especially as I needed some guidance to how it would all knit together with my requirements. Jo thought it best to view and chose the most appropriate room to accommodate the party and also view the most suitable bedrooms as there were a number of guests that would be staying overnight for b&b too. This was vey helpful, she had also proposed a table plan layout suitable to look at for each event room. I chose the Manders Suite as it was a comfortable size and also had a bar and a dance floor with plenty of space. Jo also went through a lot of helpful reminders and suggestions of things we might want to consider ourselves such as, a DJ, supplying a cake that she would get the staff to cut, dressing up the room tastefully, even the use of the large cine screen to enable us to format a constant running of photos of my wife and family, plus much more. The meetings and information by Jo gave me the confidence which made my decision to book the venue that this was the place for the surprise, knowing it would be in good hands. We arranged a second meeting to finalise the evening, Jo had detailed nearly everything we needed, the number of guests to allow for, the table layout, the menu choices for them to pre-chose from, the wine and drinks for the tables and toasting, the evening supper buffet and the rooms for staying overnight too. There was so many things, even to arrange a breakfast are for the next day so we could all eat together, lots of little things that made all the difference and to ensure it was an excellent experience. On the day we were looked after by Siri and staff who coordinated the event which was seamless, the attention to detail was brilliant, the staff were friendly, attentive and my guests commented on them with their timing and presentation, perfect. Jo’s help took all the worry and concerns away and confirmed everything as it was happening during and right up to the day. I want to say I am very grateful, thank you to Jo, Siri, Sabrina and the waiting and bar staff who were all professional, friendly and a credit to the hotel, especially for putting up with me and keeping this a secret. The hotel is impressive, a well maintained grade 2 manor with lovely grounds to walk and view, with lovely dining and bars with appealing period and modern decor and features, offering dining and accommodation with a relaxing comfortable atmosphere. The rooms are very clean, there’s plenty of parking, nice bars and good for food and drinks, all the staff are helpful, friendly and very polite, in keeping with the establishment and its stature. “Lovely hotel”

Enjoyed our stay at the Mount, warm welcome and friendly Room very nicely decorated. Bed comfortable had a good nights sleep. Very pleasant bathroom, very clean with soft white towels Breakfast was first class, and was included in our booking Would definitely stay again when visiting Wolverhampton

Good location for Wolverhampton and surrounding areas. Good value for money on a par with "chain" less charismatic hotels and included breakfast - book direct for their deals Rooms were immaculately clean Despite there being weddings taking place, the room was peaceful and quiet Excellent friendly service from all staff Would definitely recommend The Mount
