Hello Everybody and welcome to my review of Worthing’s Chatsworth Hotel which overlooks a pleasing roadside public garden and which is conveniently situated just a short walk away from the seafront with its’ pier and it is also close to the town centre shops. Bus stops serving most parts of Worthing as well as many other towns and villages in Sussex such as Brighton Horsham and Littlehampton are nearby also so getting around by public transport should won't present you with any problems, although having said that I should mention that the railway station is not that near to the hotel as the railway line is at the back of the town. My wife and I stayed at the Chatsworth Hotel for a long weekend in the middle of April consisting of a four night stay to celebrate my birthday and to make a long overdue visit to see my sister who lives not so far away and luckily the weather was glorious at the time of our visit which made our stay all the more enjoyable. Our room, number 233 was situated on the second floor which was accessed by two lifts near to our room which was handy for us. It was warm,comfortable and had its own en suite bathroom which appeared newly fitted and which was nice to use. A kettle was provided with an adequate supply of tea, coffee and biscuits and a small television set was fitted to a bracket high onto the wall next to the window. Having booked a back room we hadn’t expected anything special in the way of a view, and our room actually overlooked Worthing’s busy bus depot, and despite single and double deck buses coming and going at all times of day and night I can assure you that this caused us no problems at all and we were not disturbed by any noise whatsoever anytime from this busy area. A continental breakfast was served daily from 7am until 9.30am (a little later on Sundays) in the ground floor dining room, and which consisted of a fine self service selection of fruit, rolls, croissants, yoghurts and beverages including tea, coffee and fruit juices, all of which was quite sufficient to set you up for the day ahead of you. No other meals other than breakfasts were served in the hotel, but Worthing has so many eating establishments close by to choose from so you won’t go hungry in this town I can assure you. All the staff were most courteous and very helpful and were a credit to the Chatsworth Hotel, and we did not consider the hotel’s prices to be outragous at all in these unfortunate times of high prices. Would my wife and I stay again at the Chatsworth Hotel.? Yes, we agreed that we most certainly would be happy to return!

What a wonderful stay we had. We'd not stayed in Worthing before - we were visiting to see Henning Wehn at the Pavillion Theatre. Well, the position of the Chatsworth is perfect! So close if you are going to the Pavillion. The staff were welcoming and professionally helpful. We had a nice room overlooking the green. I was a bit concerned as this is a dog friendly hotel but our room was fine - no doggie smell, thank goodness! The complimentary breakfast was welcome and the fresh coffee surprisingly good! We were impressed with the town which feels quite buoyant with many lovely restaurants cooking fresh food - not frozen to table! We liked walking round admiring the older architecture and browsing the independent shops. Parking by the hotel has to be paid on meter which was a bit pricey. From 6 pm to 9 it's free. Make sure you have plenty of coins! I was concerned about re-feeding the meter as it stated 4 hrs max, but I spoke to a traffic warden and she said it's absolutely fine to put more money in without moving the vehicle to another spot. Phew! So thank you Chatsworth for looking after us so well.
