We have just returned after a most enjoyable three nights stay at Reubens Court in York. Apartment 2 was on the ground floor and was spotless, well equipped and extremely cosy. The immediate area seemed quiet and was within an easy 10 minutes walk of the centre with bars, cafes and a Sainsbury's Local and Tesco Express available on Micklegate for those opting to self cater. The whole booking process went smoothly with clear instructions for entry prior to arrival. York was at its seasonal best with its bustling Christmas market and the NT Treasurer's House particularly festive. Many thanks to Matthew and the City Apartments' team. Dave & Liz.

“A short break in York.”

A good choice for location and price. The apartment was clean, warm and well equipped. There are lots of restaurants, pubs and bars within easy walking distance. All the main York attractions are also close enough to walk to and there’s a great brunch cafe nearby called Kynd.

“Fantastic Base”

Stayed here with my partner for 3 nights in June. 5 min walk from Mickelgate area of town and a great base. Apartment was great for 2 people. All the facilities you need and was clean and comfortable. Bed was amazing! No parking on site so need to park about 5-10 mins walk away. Would stay again

We stayed for 7 nights over New Years Eve and the apartment was perfect. It is located in the Micklegate area and about a 5 min walk into the centre. We have stayed in a few different apartments in York over the last few years and this is by far the best. We were in Apartment 4 at the top. All the rooms are a good size. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it. The bedroom has plenty of storage. The kitchen is well equipped but because the apartment is in the roof, the ceiling slopes. So the hob extractor does stick out a bit. I’m short so it didn’t affect me but my other half did hit his head on it. However, hanging a tea towel on, when it wasn’t in use, sorted the problem out 😂 When we arrived the apartment was spotlessly clean and there was bread, milk, spread, tea, coffee and biscuits provided. They also left us a bottle of cava to celebrate the New Year. Parking was on street with a permit. The parking near the apartment was down a narrow road with a small turning area at the bottom. We have a small car so it wasn’t a problem for us. But if you have a large vehicle, you would be better parking in one of the nearby roads. There are a number of roads surrounding the apartment included in the permit area and there was always spaces available. Communication from the apartment owners/manager was the best I’ve ever had. We had the usual email a week before with instructions on how to access the apartment and parking information. This included photos of the road leading up to the apartments and a map of the permit parking areas. A couple of days before our stay I had a WhatsApp message with a summary of these instructions. On arrival day, another message after check in time to make sure we were in ok, settled and had everything we needed. Then half way through the stay they messaged again to see if we needed more toilet roll, fresh towels, etc. I would highly recommend these apartments and will definitely look to book here when we visit York again
