Lovely warm welcome. Very clean throughout. Superb for a few nights stay, if watching a football game at Stamford Bridge, going to Earls Court Exibition Centre or Olympia this place is perfect. Literally a short walk around the corner of Earls Court Tube Station. History Museum and V&A short walk away or catch the tube. Fabulous breakfast , freshly cooked to order and while you wait there is a cold buffet with cereals and juice. This room is just passed reception which also turns into the evening restaurant and bar. Wonderful!

“Great!!”

Great experience, the staff were very friendly, room was small but nice, breakfast was excellent, neighborhood was very cute and in a good location! It was very very close to the train station, museums, and only a short ride away from central London.

My norm in big cities is to book major brands, as you know what you’re getting. London, however, is a challenge as independent hotels can be hit and miss. The positive reviews of the Mornington made me take a punt. First of all, the location is spot on, just minutes from the Piccadilly and District lines of Earls Court tube station. I felt like a resident in a London neighbourhood rather than a visitor to a commercial hotel region. Entering the lobby area, I was very impressed - proper boutique hotel environ, modern décor, newspapers available and a lovely fragrance in the air. Check-in was swift, with a warm welcome from Fred. Our newly-decorated family room had many amenities available including large TV, iron & board plus a good selection of soaps & gels in bathroom, although there was no fridge. The bedding and mattresses were excellent in quality and comfort. Within minutes of entering the room, Fred then called to ensure all was ok. The level of hospitality well above what I expected. The only ‘small’ complaint about our room was that it is rather compact (especially when the sofa bed is down) although it has been cleverly designed within the limited space. But mostly when we’re in London, we aren’t in the room long enough to require anything larger. Point being, room size in London for us is a low priority. We tend to wake late, so didn’t opt for breakfast despite the reviews suggesting it is very good. However, within a stone’s throw is an M&S foodhall, Paul, Starbucks, Leon and a host of other eateries. So to sum up, the Mornington is a little gem and thoroughly recommended.

“The staff make up for what the hotel room lacks”

We booked an executive queen room. While pleasant and clean there were a few improvements which could be made. The bathroom was certainly on the small side and the fans/air con reasonably noisy. We booked an executive queen room. While pleasant and clean there were a few improvements which could be made. The bathroom was certainly on the small side and the fans/air con reasonably noisy. The staff however made it feel like a 5star experience. Helpful, friendly and nothing too much trouble. The breakfast was also delicious with good quality ingredients and a good range of choice. Once again the staff always on hand to help whatever the request.
