“Great winter night away with friends”
Lovely pub with friendly hard working staff. If there’s anything better than sitting in front of a fire with my dog, pint and a book on a cold January evening I can’t think of it. Thanks to all of you for the lovely stay. Food was good, room was comfortable and everything worked! See you again.

“Great vegan food!”
We had lunch here and on a slightly chilly October Sunday were pleased to have a table next to the roaring log fire. “A rare and wonderful find”
The whole experience from room, to food, staff and facilities could not be faulted. “Great stop for 1 night”
Nice room for 1 night, nice food, dinner and breakfast, and lovely staff both on reception and in the restaurant. The selection of ales at the bar was good, and the dinner portions were generous, always a good sign for pub grub.

Booked a 2 night stay thinking we would be accommodated in a seventeenth century cider pub. As it turned out, we were in a modern soulless outbuilding, which looks like it was done on the cheap.
